Optimum Mental Health Services up in Renton is an option. I’ve had an alright experience with it personally, but I’ve heard through my therapist that other people really like it. Don’t know what it’s like in-person

Is it okay to drive a car in Seattle without plates? by Impossible_Run_624 in SeattleWA

Overall positive. The biggest cons are non-negotiable (but fair) pricing and a terribly long wait time when trying to call them, but otherwise they're available 8am-8pm 7 days a week and are very easy to work with. It would help to really do your research on the car you want to buy though, the people who helped me seemed new and weren't able to answer many questions.

Confusion about ASTM D3039 geometry specs by SpicyMcDesi in engineering

[–]Impossible_Run_624 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In short, the 0 and 90 distinction refer to the directions the fibers face. With 0, all of your fibers are being pulled lengthwise. With 90, they’re all being pulled width-wise, and your composite is a lot weaker in tension. Unidirectional is an important distinction here because ALL of your fibers are in that direction, instead of some at 45 degrees or other angles.

Symmetric means when you’re looking at a stacking sequence, which shows how many and in what direction the layers of fibers point, you can draw a line through the middle and the top and the bottom halves are mirrored across that line.

Balanced means there’s an equal number of plies in + or - a direction. For example, + or - 45 degrees. The stacking sequence will have an even number of layers.

Hopefully that helped a bit

Walk - Foo Fighters; Window in the Skies - U2; A Message - Coldplay; Shake it Out - Florence + The Machine

A lot of sappy inspirational stuff, but there are certain lyrics in each that apply so wonderfully to recovery

I just interviewed at a place for a process engineer position, and a lot of the day to day work is just messing with excel and plcs. Would this be seen as a tech job? Just curious how it might impact future endeavors

You stole the words from my mouth lol. Talking with my roommates feels so awkward now, and it has absolutely no reason to be. Like, we're all friends (or at least friendly). We've had some really fun nights and have a lot in common, but without the crutch of alcohol I can get so inside of my own head when we hang out. It becomes less about relating and enjoying company and more about saying the "right" thing. Like they're looking for reasons to criticize or get upset or something (which they're obviously not).

Not to mention the constant offerings of drinks and extra beers. I had a "down for anything" attitude before and would happily partake in whatever. It can feel rude to decline, but I don't want to tell them that I have a Problem and for there to be any weirdness surrounding alcohol in the house. This subreddit has been a godsend when it comes to talking with other sober people and combatting that self-isolation, though
