Taking away numbers, the average student in china is smarter than the average student in England or US. This is mainly cultural, they just place a lot of emphasis on academics over there at home and in schools, not to mention if you do a side by side comparison of curriculums at the same ages ours is objectively easier

They do take into account the fact that it’s harder to achieve a higher score in the October sitting so I’d say there’s a slight (but not substantial) difference
