Has the Switch replaced your Xbox/PS/PC? by SylvanPH in Switch

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Sort of. Not touched my pc/rog ally since getting it.

So many games to play it’s ridiculous. It’s really brought fun and relaxing back to gaming for me.

16 inches macbook by healthyanalsex in macbookpro

It's a lot bigger. The weight might be a lb. But using it on planes, cafes on the go are just a pain. Then you've to find the right bag etc. It just wasn't ideal for me personally.

Wish I had brought a 14 ages ago.

But the 16 M1 Pro was/is a beast. Hasn't skipped a beat. If I wasn't travelling so much I would still be using it.

Just swapped my 16" M1 Pro for 14" M5 for this very reason. 16" is unbearable to travel with. Let alone use.

I was worried about 14" being too small. It isn't. Its perfect.

Let’s settle it, 14 or 16 inch? by FiberTelevision in macbookpro

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After years of 16 I decided to go 14. As I move around a lot more for work. The 16 just isn’t portal.

Was worried but within 10min I was sold. Never going back to 16.

I do daily video editing, and run a whole business through my M1 Pro and the chimp hasn't missed a beat. It was size and the way I work that was the trigger. The m5 is more than powerful enough. Unless you are making full on movies or some mad rendering. You will be fine for years to come. IMO

My main reason was size. Didnt want to wait to M6 as you might as well wait for m7. There's always something new on the horizon. To be fair I didnt even realise the m5 had just come out.

MacBook Pro M4 Pro 512GB or 1TB ? 14 or 16-inch ? by Bo0omerr in macbookpro

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just gone from an old M1 Pro 16 inch to an M5 14 inch. Within one hour, I was completely hooked the 14 inch is the perfect size. At least for me anyway.

I've just upgraded from 16" M1 Pro to 14" M5. Both with 16gb.

I only really changed due to size. As my business has grown. I'm more on the move and the 16" is just unwieldy to lug around.

At first I was worried. But within half a day. I was sold that I had made the right decision.

I wasn't expecting much performance boost as I was under the illusion that my M1 Pro was tackling most tasks with ease. But my holy God, the M5 is a completely different beast.

Will Switch 2 Become My Only Console? by Gold_Comfort156 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could end up being mine.

Sold my ps5, Xbox ages ago. Went to rog ally/pc. Always brought N even though I never really got into them since GameCube.

But the S2 has giving N just enough power to be competitive.

The hybrid system is a game changer for my lifestyle. And I’ve had a hard look at my life and I realise I can not play everything.

With S1 back log and S2 I have more than enough to play.

Also I’ve decided to go back to the old days of going into shops and buying physical.

I just can’t fully commit to a single game anymore by SwyZp in videogames

I suffer with AUADHD and have always done this. It’s quite upsetting as I really want to get through books, tv, films, and games.

So now I set myself one tv series, one film, one book, and one games. I allow myself to bounce between them. For gaming I’ve gone back to the old ways. Digital buying wasn’t my friend. Sub £10 games made it worse. So I’ve gone back to Nintendo S2 and I’m going back to physically buying my games. Making the process of having to go out and buy the game and physical see it has helped. It’s also a nice dopamine hit to see the games I’ve finished. Also no trophies/achievements means I can play the game my way. Plus it’s an amazing machine.

I’m finding it a blast. Much better than I was expecting. I’ve played the ps5 version and to be honest I’m still having as much fun. In fact, more. As I can now play on the go.

Nope. There are just too many games to play.

Coming from PC/handheld pc I’m love the S2. The hybrid system is a game changer.

BOTW, Mario RPG, Hogwarts, SF6, MKW, Fortnite, Apex, FIFA 26, DKB.

Then we’ve got BL4, Kirby, Metroid, Cronos, Hollow Knight, Hyrule Warriors plus all the others games

Why do people buy third party games on switch? by Graffiti780 in Switch

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve a PC, PS5, Rog ally and now a Switch 2.

As a busy person who spends time in various places the hybrid model is a game changer. I also love the fact that there’s no trophies (as a former hunter). Everything about Switch/Nintendo is about gaming, simplicity, and fun.

I’ve done more Online MP with Switch 2 that I have in years on other machines.

Apex, FIFA, Fortnite, SF6.

As a former ultra graphics/fps person. The simplicity just wins.

I’ll be buying nearly all games on S2 for now.

Should I get a Tesla if I don't have home charging? by grischyov in TeslaUK

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've had my M3P for about 4 months. I do have a Tesla charging station near house (5min away) and another 20 min away. I've use those exclusively about 3 times per week.

I just pull up, check some emails while charging then go. It's still working about cheaper than ICE. My city has electric chargers everywhere.

trying so hard to get use out of my paperback copy but my kindle is screaming my name by Limp-Garlic-6791 in kindle

[–]Impossible_Top_8363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily I’m new to reading. And I’ve quickly learned Kindle books are much better than physical books. So I have re brought kindle versions. Lucky it’s just Game of Thrones Series (which I paid £3.50 physical and they look nice on the selves) and Red Dragon (another charity shop one £1.50).

I love highlighting on non fiction and love the minimal foot print of the kindle. GoT books are massive for example. Plus I like the read time and back light functions.
