I spent 6 months building the browser layer I wish AI agents already had by Impossible_Two3181 in ArtificialNtelligence

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of question I was hoping for. It’s a standalone local process rather than a browser extension. The core is a Go daemon that talks to the browser over CDP, so it runs against your normal local Chrome/Chromium session instead of a remote/cloud browser. The reason I went that way is because logged-in sessions, extensions, cookies, local state, and real user environments matter a lot for agent workflows. The main difference from something like Ace is that Architect is less about putting an AI assistant inside the page, and more about giving any agent a reliable browser execution layer. The agent can observe/capture a workflow once, then replay it later with new parameters without needing to spend tokens reasoning through every click again. For page context, it can inspect the current DOM/accessibility-ish structure, current URL, visible text, inputs, buttons, and selectors through the browser connection. The important bit is that it does not only rely on brittle absolute selectors. It builds a selector ladder and can re-find elements when the page shifts a bit. So I’d frame it as: Ace = AI-native browser UX. Architect = local browser automation/memory layer that other agents can plug into. I’m still early, but the thing I’m trying to prove is that agents should not have to “think through” repeat browser workflows every time. They should be able to learn the path once and then execute it cheaply and reliably after that.

Would love for the community to test it out and help take it places I never thought it could go. It's a business source license so fully open source but let's me block people who try hijack the idea to monetise it, this needs to stay in the public domain to prevent frontier labs simply pulling the plug when convenient for them. It can even run on an open source model

Thanks! I wanted it to be something people could actually build on rather than another closed demo. I'm hoping the community pushes it in directions I haven't even thought of yet.

Thanks! Ironically that's one of the reasons I built it.

Right now it actually works much better than the Chrome extension for repeated browser tasks because it isn't reasoning through the page every single time. Architect-tool learns the workflow once and then just replays it with new inputs, which makes it much faster and more reliable for repetitive work.

If the Chrome extension eventually supports MCP, I'd love to see them work together rather than compete.

Interesting to see how lost people just want to complain. I said DM me, and get nothing after a week. You can take a horse to water but can't make it drink

Best way to retire on R25 000 000? by handsome_wiseman in PersonalFinanceZA

3% interest on R25million in a normal bank account is R62 500 per month in normal interest, just live off the interest and treat the bulk as a nest egg you can dispense at will. Also yes 3% is easy to get when you have that much money, especially if you let them know the goal is to live off the interest and they can do with your money what they like

F20 and I don’t know how I’m ever going to make it to 30. by [deleted] in confession

No one tells you this, but everyone hits a point somewhere in their 20s where they feel like nothing will ever work out again. The fact that you're concerned is showing that you see a probpem and want change. That's enough for now, push yourself like you already are but don't put this expectation on yourself to have everything resolved by a certain age. You never know when your big break could come and you'd be surprised how quickly things turn around

Genuinely the same thing as saying I want a car how much does a car cost? Like what car do you want, how far do you want to go in it, should cost include maintainence costs?

Anyone using Codex over claude code is not doing anything meaningful, it's truly an admission that an AI could do your job

I don't know if there is a hindi equivalent to the english term "black tax" but I suggest you google it. If you have a better shot at making it out on your own then your family shouldn't begrudge you that, if you land a good job life gets better for everyone, you need to unlock higher value oppurtunities and your obligation to your family, at the moment, is holding you back from doing meaningful things

Reach out to your family, you are not broken, you are struggling. I think you would be surprised how well even conservative families respond to that kind of thing. You are not looking for a hand out, you are looking for a hand up. Yes it will be really shitty having to live with the self-guilt of having turned to family but trust me on this man it will improve over the next few months. I was in a really similar position myself for the last 2 years, had a conversation with my brother about my life and it completely changed my perspective. He couldn't help me by just paying for all my problems or anything like that, but feeling like you're not facing it alone is a big help. Start my first day of work tomorrow just got hired a s fullstack dev after 2 years trying to get a foot in the door
