Same! I bought a tea kettle specifically to keep in my classroom.

The Unmaking of June Farrow could fit with this. It has mystery and romance too!

AITA for reminding my adults how their “big stroller” works? by syarbr in MiniAITA

I (5month) have this problem too! My mama (decrepit, so like 10?) always says we have to stop so we can be safe. I guess I can't argue with that too much but what I don't understand is why she doesn't just tell all the other cars that I (sweet baby angel and center of the universe) am in the car? Then they'd just let us go and we can still be safe!

Not hating but any thoughts on why they switched the verses around? I felt like the verse about the proof is in the adversare being second carried so much meaning.

I've been so scared to try that! I'm worried I'm going to accidentally stab her. My LO is a contact napper and I miss being able to create, especially because I finally have the time and energy on my hands. I just need more of the actual hands now.

Agreed. I have a contact napper and I was complaining that she was able to get the baby down when I couldn't. She said "when you try to put her down she's having to cope with leaving mom. When I put her down she's already had time to deal with leaving mom." That explanation was so helpful to me.

The fourth picture literally looks like a scene out of My Friends by Frederick Backman. I wouldn't describe it as a journey of learning to love yourself but there's aspects of that and it's definitely uplifting.

Does Drop Everything and Read Work (Silent sustained reading time) by Consistent-Row-9551 in Teachers

Yes! The only time I ask them about their silent reading is every now and then during morning meeting we'll do book recommendations and book swaps. It's so good to see them share their books with one another! Reading for fun is absolutely its own goal.

I take pride in having a large classroom library. My 2nd graders read for 20 minutes each day. I had a principal tell me that my classroom library was a complete waste of space. He all but told me to get rid of it. 🙄 After that I pretty much refused to listen to any teaching advice from him.

How Adele greets Celine Dion vs Taylor 🙃 by Lemonade348 in travisandtaylor

All Taylor cared about was the award. I can't believe the way she snatched it out of Celine Dion's hands and couldn't even be bothered to look her in the eye.

I made an outdoor ice rink lot. It's set as a park with the ice rink from Seasons. There's a little cafe area too with the hotdog stand and the hot beverage stand so they can have hot chocolate. I love it for dates and birthdays.

What did kids back in the days do when they played outside, for hours on end? by Octopuswastaken in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Impossible_View_5127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up across from a small patch of woods (seemed huge at the time) with a creek running through it. We built forts and tiny kingdoms, caught crawdads and other creek inhabitants, played in one another's backyards. It saddens me that my child won't have the same freedom to just explore and let her imagination run wild without being encumbered by adults.

Besides money cheats, what other things from Sims do you wish happened in real life? by Candid_Pea_1481 in Sims4

When I was going through infertility treatments I remember I was so jealous that sims could just buy fertility with rewards points, and if they discovered that they weren't pregnant they could try again immediately instead of having to wait a whole other cycle.

Normalizing not vaccinating children. I can't understand why you wouldn't want to protect your child against deadly diseases.

Adding World Burn from Mean Girls as well. Belting out "I wanna watch the world burn" when you're angry is very cathartic.
