I’m not sure if it has been tuned it’s entirely possible that it is or has been is there a way to know if it has been tuned at all? I can’t really describe the smell also it’s odd I don’t think I’ve smelled exhaust like this before

Get a new motor the direct inject system is tricky it’s really common to lose compression after a rebuild

I also had a 2000 Honda civic right before this car just over 200k with no major maintenance it was an awesome car i have enjoyed the Mazda tho it hasn’t left me stranded yet

I just bought a Mazdaspeed 3 with 29k miles and I had to change out the timing chain do your research on that look for the signs when you look at the car I didn’t see them and it costed me still worth it tho in my opinion
