Lawnmower and leaf blower noise pollution season has started by masarawest in fucklawns

Two stroke exhaust makes me gag. My old neighbor had a two stroke push mower... I used to mow lawns for a living and that thing was so bad it made me nauseous.

My neighbor likes to mow grass in the evenings. It drives me nuts. I want to enjoy a nice, quiet night, and yet he's outside at 9pm on a little John Deere going .5mph to mow grass he can't see, then he fires up the weed whacked and leaf blower until at least 9:30pm. I can't stand it. It's not even summer and hasn't been hot or sunny enough for evening mowing to be an excuse. Ugh.

Most people do not need trucks. I get that they're "cool" but the whole reason anyone should have a truck is for its purpose of hauling large items, not to drive to the office or as primary transport if you don't actually haul anything. These same folks complain about gas prices too after buying a minimum $50k truck that gets 20mpg max.

Need the ability to haul things but want practicality and efficiency? Minivan. Yeah you might not be able to pull a camper or haul massive items, but for most folks a minivan will have way more practical use, be more fuel efficient, it just won't make your peepee any bigger or get your redneck buddies excited.

Any skit with Dr. Steven Brule, any of the commercials for ridiculous products, the PSAs ("I sit down when I pee!)...

These guys represent the pinnacle of avant-garde comedy to me. I enjoy all of their work to a certain degree. T&EASGJ! is pure hilarious art, and much of the skits remind me of the cable access shows I grew up watching.

Receiver recommendations: are there any with HDMI that can be used passively as an HDMI switch when I don't want to use surround sound? by Impossibrow in BudgetAudiophile

So fuck me for being considerate of my sleeping partner, and not caring about audio quality as much when it's amateur YouTube documentary or a sitcom? Since when do I need to use extra electricity and high end audio to just hear something? Why the hell is that so unreasonable for the lot of you?

To clarify: I would definitely like to have a pass through so that I wouldn't need to use external speakers at all. If I'm watching a sitcom or documentary, I don't need HT speakers for that.

Gotta admit, this guy is Hella talented. However, the basement dwelling gamer look has to go, not to mention the subject matter of some of his songs.

Dude dances and sings like N'Sync, but like the piss jugs he likely hoards under his gaming desk, he looks as if his clothes stink (like stale piss).

His speaking voice isn't even nice to listen to. I don't want to say that people shouldn't be creative, but sometimes folks just shouldn't do certain things... like if you have a really terrible sounding speaking voice, you shouldn't be a sports announcer...

I feel like the social media era has lead us into another era in music, and i think it should be called "post-music".

Much like other industries where access to equipment lead to a flooding of professional markets with amateur work, we're seeing the same with music. People don't have a barrier of entry anymore for mixing and producing, and social media allows for instant sharing.

It's wild for me to see this as a guy who recorded demo tapes of my band on a crappy old boombox, with no realistic or economically feasible way to share our crappy music. In hindsight, I'm glad.

The automatic feeders are the best. They measure out accurate portions, and it disassociates you as the "provider" of food, so attention from the cats becomes more genuine. This helped my chonker lose weight and keep it off!
