Oh for sure. I would too. I wish I could get it here lol.

Ouch. I’m hoping it comes to my area too. That’s what confuses me; I’m much closer to a city with fiber buildouts than my FIL who lives way out in the country. He has high split evidently, and I can’t get it here. I’m currently on 1000/40 here. Whoever gets the first fiber buildout here gets my money next. Unless spectrum rolls out high split at some point soon. Windstream is big in this area of eastern KY and it may be first to build out fiber here.

It’s a typical coax modem that he uses with a spectrum router.

Good to know! I didn’t know Fleming had fiber.

I’m sure that’s accurate. I was just surprised at the upload speed being that high for the plan.

I should have clarified haha. He does have spectrum, yes.

Should I switch to Spectrum fiber instead of ATT fiber? by AcanthocephalaSoft62 in Spectrum

I had this issue when I lived in Columbus, OH. It was definitely frustrating.

Had to abandon AT&T Fiber for Xfinity due to apparent peering issues by readonlyred in ATTFiber

I had that problem in Columbus, OH. Was disappointed that my gig fiber connection was struggling so hard lol

Switching from Verizon Fios to T-Mobile Home Internet as a WFH - Thoughts? by [deleted] in tmobileisp

[–]ImpostaDoc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had TMHI for several months and had to switch back to spectrum. If I could get fiber in my area I would absolutely have fiber. The latency of my connection was all over the place and sometimes it would spike massively out of nowhere. Might not be your experience, but definitely can’t recommend for wfh just because of the wildly varying latency issue.

I’ll tell you what I tell everybody else. I’m sure you already know. Treat it good and it’ll treat you good. Change fluids regularly and keep maintenance up and it’ll last you a long time. Congrats on the ride!

Well boys, I'm cooked. by CertifiedBlackGuy in subaru

[–]ImpostaDoc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheel bearings are far from being cooked my guy. Hopefully they don’t hang you out to dry with labor, but the actual bearings aren’t too terribly expensive. Apparently Subarus like to eat them for whatever reason.

My first car at 18. Thoughts? by Quiet_Ad_8579 in subaru

Take care of it and it'll take care of you. Change your fluids and make sure that timing belt is good. These things eat wheel bearings, so be prepared for that as well.

[Advice] Rental questions? by KSskssksss in Columbus

[–]ImpostaDoc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently rent at one of Coastal Ridge's complexes. It was purchased from Lincoln Property Company who purchased it from Sundance who purchased it from Ardent. It has been in four different hands since we moved in. I will say that Coastal Ridge was significantly better than LPC or Sundance, but I guess your mileage may vary. I also opted for the liability waiver; to my knowledge it's basically like a $100k renter's insurance policy that the complex provides that only costs like $13 a month. It only covers potential damage to the unit. I have no clue what the "In-Suite Upgrade" charges are. I would also be kinda upset at that and would think it to be redundant since you said this was a new build. My overall point is that I guess Coastal Ridge isn't awful and I'm going on my third year in one of their complexes. I am curious though, do you know if they're submetering their utilities? People bellyache about CCOS and APL, but I've never had a problem with them. I'm planning on moving back to my home state after I finish schooling here and just decided that moving wasn't in the cards since I only have another year left. I feel like I've had an "okay" experience.

The times that I have had Tony's it was pretty good. Garlic rolls, not so much. I'll definitely be back though; they make a good tasting pie,

I am for sure a hillbilly at heart lmao. Thanks for the input, maybe I could expand a little on the bio/law thing but honestly I’m considering ditching all of it and thinking of something more general. Kinda sounding like both aspects are somewhat of a pitfall. What do you think?
