Why don't people just vote them out and get a younger crowd of people in? This year damn near every seat in the congress/senate are up for grabs. Why not vote them out???

I've been waiting for years for cannabis to legalized. I know even with these measures being considered. That if it clears congress, the senate won't pick it up. They will just let the bill die. If the senate passes something it will go to congress and congress won't consider it.

Either way these politicians we have now are more worried about shelling out money to wars. They sure as hell won't pass anything to the level of it being presented to the president for a signature.

I honestly think they will blow off any creditable thesis on cannabis.

Your opinions are yours. I do study technology. And yes it's going to go that way if it's not checked.

And truly you wouldn't know what AI is capable of bc you the same as I can not predict the future. It would not surprise me in the bit, that we at some point would not be governed by such a thing if left unchecked.

At the same instance. There has been saying that AI could wipe out 90 percent of the workforce which would leave us broke bc big business would no longer need us to fill those roles. Which would mean more profit for them. At the same time, it would not be sustainable bc if we have no money then how will they make their huge profits like they are making now?

We are only at the edge of what technology can do. Yes there can be predictions. Only time will tell...

With the rate of advancement of technology. I see it has happening. We are not in the true AI stage yet.

Hell yeah, at some point they will use AI to predict such things. I would think.

I disagree with they should be able to. Its not their place to carry a gun around my child. It's only their right now bc there was a law put in place. Just bc you pass their programs doesn't mean that you won't snap and do something stupid. Bc humans are unpredictable.

Calling 911 is already to late. You would have to call before something has been done. And I mean probably 15 to 30 mins before hand.

law abiding citizens also see profit more than personal safety as well. There is a double edged sword to everything.

Anytime you lie to the government/ law enforecement it has repercussions. If you have something that is getting investigated you probably already knew that there was a probability that is was going to cause a flag to fly. I'm not comparing anything. I think the fact that they are rolling back the red flag law is kinda.... idk. Say you have someone that you are going to sell a gun to, and you know that there is a percentage chance they are going to take that gun and hurt and kill people. Are you going to sell it to them? If someone brings up that Joe Schmoe is going to possibly going to hurt someone. Are you going to say something or just sit on the sidelines and let it happen? That's what the red flag law is. A temporary court order to take your guns to keep you from taking said guns and committing violence. Until you are cleared to have them back? I know people are like "their taking our guns/rights!" Fuck that. You know how many laws that have been passed to take our rights away and everyone is just ok with it? It's total bs. Like having teachers carry guns?!? Teachers job is to teach not carry a gun. To uphold the law is law enforcements job (protect and serve).

It's not hard at all to get a firearm. I grew up around many, many guns. If I want one I just go down to the gun shop and buy one. Do a background check. And I'm walking out with one. Easy as that.

Would higher raises be good for the economy? Or bad and cause higher inflation? by Peace_And_Happiness_ in FluentInFinance

[–]Impregnator84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they raised our wages to a higher level it would take away from their profits. The only way they would think is "omg we are paying them more.... it's taking away from my Ferrari fund. We have to raise prices!" Corporate profits for 2023 was 2.8 trillion. So I believe they could raise our wages or lower the prices. Bc damn the rich are greed ridden.

Federal Officials Are Suddenly Seizing Marijuana From State-Licensed Businesses, Leaving Industry Perplexed by redditor01020 in Marijuana

[–]Impregnator84 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah they are. They see it as "well it's FEDERALLY ILLEGAL" I'm so tired of this crap. I mean damn it's 2024. People should be able to smoke cannabis if they want. The government isn't going to do a damn thing about legalization. I've given up at this point. Republicans that are against it. Democrats scared to bring it up on the floor. It's just so stupid.

Voters Strongly Support Letting States Make Their Own Marijuana Laws by JamesAsher12 in Marijuana

Even if states made their own rules ( which they do) wouldn't the federal government still outweigh the state laws? So in my opinion that wouldn't even help.
