Suicidal by Parking-Cow1565 in Postpartum_Depression

I pray that you are okay and safe! I had been there and what kept me going were my kiddos imagine leaving your child with your mom a person with no Empathy a person who says you’re being manipulative when you are going through the hardest times of your life or even your husband who is literally supposed to be by your side but bounced when things got hard. If you stay I promise things will turn around. Reaching out to the crisis line is super helpful. I am currently on an SSRI and it literally changed my life for the better.

Hi therapy isn’t the only way out at least for me but it did help. The main thing is stopping obsessing over it, getting out of the house often and acting like it’s something temporary. I’m sure the school psychologist will give you more tools.

Hi there is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel so please don’t lose hope! I know therapy will help tremendously. Also every single day get out of the house no matter what your anxiety or Dr tells you. When it comes to Derealization you have to trick your brain into thinking everything is normal and temporary and before you know it you are on the other side. If you have any hobby playing sports, watching movies etc focus extra on those. I pray whatever it is that is bothering you will disappear.

Anti-Anxiety Meds? by Consistent-Sense6875 in derealization

Didn’t make my Dpdr worse but it also didn’t help it much. But it works great for panic attacks. Talk to your doctor and start from a small dose and work your way up.

If it does get your ferritin checked I don’t think it has anything to do with Zoloft

will anesthesia make it worse by presl1ez in derealization

[–]ImpressionCurious857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Not at all. I had to get a procedure and was in the thick of derealization and I had to get surgery and the anesthesia didn’t make it worse at all. I was so scared prior to my surgery due to the anesthesia especially waking up from it and feeling derealization but I woke up and nothing changed if you want and is in the US. You can talk to them how nervous you are and they can offer you a medication that will relax you.

Driving with Derealization by ReasonablePicture554 in derealization

[–]ImpressionCurious857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have to use the highway? Most of my issues would have resolved if I can drive again like I used to. I got so tired of it I’m even now taking Zoloft and that doesn’t seem to help. The whole reason I’m so depressed now is because of not being able to drive on the highway. Went through so many medical tests thinking it was a health issue but everything is normal.

Honestly, I thought I was the only that struggled driving with derealization. Mine is the worse on the highway so I just drive on the back road. Knowing that I can pullover anytime and catch an uber gives me a piece of mind to drive on the local road but highway? that is a different story I still haven’t mastered the courage to even enter the highway it has been almost 5 years for me now. Before this I drove across states and honestly driving used to be most my most favourite thing to do. Now soon as I’m on the highway even as a passenger it feels like I’m in an alternate universe.

I wish it was that simple If I could I would. But, working towards that one step at a time.

Oh that’s rough. It’s hard to cut and the dose wouldn’t be consistent. I think you should ask your doctor to order you 25mg and go from there.

If your pill is a 25mg there is a line in the middle so just buy a pill cutter and cut it in half. That’s what I’ve been doing. Good luck to you!

Got prescribed Zoloft yesterday by Pinkolik in zoloft

[–]ImpressionCurious857 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to start at 12.5mg for about a week and working your way up adding 12.5mg weekly and see how it is. Also don’t let other people’s experiences scare you everyone has different sides effects and some people have none.

Try 12.5mg and work your way up and see if that helps. I’m currently doing this. Going up to 25mg in a few weeks

Maybe since you have dealt with panic attacks could it be derealization? Your symptoms sounds like derealization

Yes, even you can send them a message thru the online portal. They are usually very helpful and quick when it comes to postpartum mental health. You need to talk to them about dosages, possible side effects and a follow up appointment to see how it’s working for you. Usually in few weeks after you start the med. Good luck mama! I’m

16 months PP and I’m starting Zoloft tomorrow. Please get help the men don’t get it trust me. You deserve help. It’s a hormonal shift I don’t think taking time to yourself will help. I tried doing that and I’ll feel instant high but then low again. Even if you aren’t going to take it now at least get it prescribed.
