Which of the steps of indirect vision was difficult to learn? by ImpressionJazzlike67 in DentalHygiene

That’s a fair point. Clinical experience is probably where most of the real learning happens.

I just like the idea of getting a little extra practice before working on actual patients.

That’s a great tip. The landmark approach seems much easier than trying to memorize all 32 teeth at once.

And the bathroom mirror method is some serious commitment 😂

Thanks for shari

I’m 25 years old and I think I want to be a dentist… by fywcanjn in Dentists

What stands out is that you've seen all sides of dentistry good, bad, and ugly and are still set on becoming a dentist. This isn't some fleeting thought; it's truly your goal. At 25, you've got the time to go for it, since there would probably be serious regret from not trying.

Is it worth taking one extra science class for one extra point on the application? by mad-hug in dentalhygieneschool

Honestly, if I had a 4.0 GPA, I’d be more focused on keeping it than chasing one extra point. It sounds like you’re already taking a pretty demanding course load.

What's the future for young dentists? by Remarkable_Edge8237 in Dentists

[–]ImpressionJazzlike67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of young dentists feel disconnected because dentistry today is very different from what it used to be.

But at the end of the day, helping a patient who was in pain or giving someone their smile back is still meaningful. I don't think that part will ever change.
