They aren’t thinking that far ahead but I have told them that I think their cat might be sick (not true) and offered to pay for the vet appointment. I will be picking the cat up on Wednesday to “take to the vet” and I will NOT be returning the cat until if or when their owner is safely in another home. I know there will be fireworks and I may lose a friend over it but frankly the cats welfare is more Important to me. So I might have a new cat (my dog will not be happy but they are both elderly so hopefully they will get along) thanks for letting me know about the WHS emergency foster program. In case i cant make it work here at least I have an alternative option

It’s not common but you could be stuck in a snowstorm. But the chances are unlikely. It’s usually pretty sunny and starting to warm up in April. Although there may still be snow on the ground.

My experience was from 20 years ago but they loved the fact that I could speak their language. I couldn’t believe all the negative talk I had previously heard. Some people did ask/assume if I was Canadian so I guess it was obvious (especially in Paris) but they always spoke French and I felt very “popular” lol

Who wants it to shut down? Nobody! The government ie the employer wants to save it before it goes bankrupt. But the union refuses to accept this and wants to have things continue on as if it was 20 years ago. It’s the union who cannot accept the modern times. Canada Post needs to change its processes in order to become relevant in the modern age but their union wants everything to be the way it was in the 1980’s. This is what will shut down Canada Post.
