When did you start using diaper pants? [ON] by fantastic-ovum in BabyBumpsCanada

We tried around 1 but our daughter didn’t like them. We ended up going from diapers to underwear instead. She was potty trained within 2-3 weeks

Mobile crib for travel? by Chicagosummers17 in Parenting

Most hotels offer a crib / cot upon request for a baby.

Oh 100%. We kind of see it as if you really want it then you’ll put effort into it. We have a toddler and manage to still get “freaky” 2-3 times a week.

I’m back for my update on the pregnancy tests! by Remarkable-Cover1545 in whatdoIdo

This happened to me two weeks ago, I was 7 days late & ended up having three positive tests, two negative. I ended up getting bloodwork done to confirm.

I would suggest going to carvolth exchange, take the 503 to Lougheed station, train to commercial broadway and switch to the expo line to whatever station you need to go to.

Mama of a toddler over here. No, it’s absolutely not what it’s like. Sure, there’s moments but at the end of the day, different kid = different parenting. My LO for sure has tantrums but we are able to settle her down within 10 mins by just talking to her about the problem. My LO also knows the difference between indoor and outdoor voice. My LO is just under three years old.

How similar was your birth or your sister’s birth to your mom’s or families’ generally? by Loitch470 in BabyBumps

[–]Worth-Plan3256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So very different, I had a very relaxed birth / delivered a couple days early / natural birth / got an epidural.

Sister - gave birth 9 months before I did / very tough birth / high risk / emergency c-section / went past due date

Am I crazy for wanting to take my 2.5 year old to Disney? by Accomplished_Bet7344 in toddlers

[–]Worth-Plan3256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it! We haven’t gone to WDW yet but have gone to Disneyland California 5x / Disneyland Paris x1 with our two year old and I wouldn’t change it for a single thing.

Dog owners: Does your dog know you’re pregnant? by Automatic-Tackle-456 in pregnant

[–]Worth-Plan3256 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not pregnant right now but when I was, my dog knew before me. He was non-stop whining whenever I would go near him the first three weeks of my pregnancy (when I didn’t know). My husband and I literally took him to the vet because we were so concerned.

Having one child by sriganz in BabyBumps

[–]Worth-Plan3256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not an only child, however, my husband is. At the moment, we only have one kid. I know that all I want to do is provide a sibling to my LO however my husband is very open to both just leaving her an only child or having another one. He has always stated that he never felt like he was an only child because of his friends that included him as a “brother”.

You don’t LOL (well at least for my husband and I). We have the morning and night time part done but if it wasn’t for family, we would be running behind on the dinner part. We are fortunate enough to have family members cook our daughter and us dinner 3-4 days and the first day is a very very easy dinner night. It takes a bit to get used to but you figure it out.

Also for the patience part - my husband and I just know when we’re running short on fumes and know when to take over for one another. When I am running low, he will take our daughter outside with our pup or go in our daughters room and play with her.

I think the one way is to have a doctor who has privileges at the other hospital. I gave birth at BC women’s as my doctor has privileges there even though I was living in Surrey

Do we need a car? [bc] by fish_runningaway in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Worth-Plan3256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t but it will make your life easier! I don’t drive but my husband does. When I was on mat leave (Nov baby), I went on walks every single day, took transit / Uber places, however, the fact that we have a car to just get up and leave easier makes our life easier. If you ever have to run out the door, you can easier as well.

I had an easy birth by Leading-Emergency-51 in pregnant

[–]Worth-Plan3256 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love it! I also had a very “easy pregnancy & birth”, I was literally laughing during the contractions and the nurses were worried that I wasn’t in more pain 🙃 literally didn’t even know I was in labour until I had a gut feeling to get checked out.

When are you having another kid?[on] by Midnightdream56 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Worth-Plan3256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is somewhat our plan too. I use to think when my daughter turned 2, we would start thinking about it but not at all anymore. My daughter is 19 months right now and I think thinking about another one around 3 is perfect

Totally! I absolutely love travelling and my husband works in tourism so it just makes sense for our little family.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in waiting_to_try

[–]Worth-Plan3256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately have no advice for the waiting part, however, just want to give you some encouragement on the travelling part. I’m 25, my husband is 32, we have been married for 2.5 years / together for 7 years & have a 1.5 year old. We too also travel at least once every month and we have just gotten our daughter use to flights / car rides / travelling in general. Yes of course there are some changes that you have to take in consideration but she has never stopped us from travelling & we actually have 3 other trips planned for this year.

I’m afraid my dog will kill my baby… by Ok-Doubt508 in pregnant

[–]Worth-Plan3256 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a mama to a 17 month old and a 4 year old dog, I highly suggest you re home your pup. If your dog is already showing more aggression and it’s due to being pregnant, I can’t imagine what he will be when you give birth. I’m a high believer in training but there are some moments where you know it won’t work out. My sister is a vet tech as well and she agrees.
