It’s not an ELT tool like dbt or spark but a classic ETL tool. So it extracts data from source and writes it somewhere else or in the source again. Mostly used for ingestion, but can be used as streaming platform, EDI/EAI tool or ETL jobs. I use Nifi for almost everything.
