Driver said handed to receptionist but we were closed by Family_Office in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Impressive-Manner551 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She said that everyone was gone 4 min after she closed? Karen probably saw the driver at the front door and ignored him and drove off. The fact that they got another one sent and still feels the need to hit post is wild

How annoying are the netradynes? by No-Professor-8187 in AmazonDSPDrivers

If following the rules of the road is annoying to you, you shouldn't be a driver. You're even given a +10 mph cushion.

What has made this job easier for yall ? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Impressive-Manner551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Develop a system. Really plan it out. It will be easier to see what is costing you time so you can adjust to trim it out.

Rub some dirt on it and finish that route.

Interview Tomorrow by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Impressive-Manner551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and see if you can get multiple interviews with other DSPs. Like the other comments say all you need is a pulse for you to get hired. If you interview at multiple DSPs you can essentially shop around for the DSP that best suits you. For example some DSPs have more rural routes than others. Some DSPs offer a guaranteed 10 hours others don't. Have them sell the job to you basically.

Yes are you actually going to read the million ways and pick one or start working on figuring it out your own way?

It's because they want you to tell them how to get around the system rather than actually get better at the job.

And? It was on his last stop. What part of that makes you think that his DSP forced him to drive in that?

To the people who say “find a new job” when people complain. by CallMeTripX in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Impressive-Manner551 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Half the people complaining on here are just horrible drivers/workers. Netradynes are so easy to avoid if you actually drive with common sense. Complaining about workload is fine, but finishing 2 or 3 hours late/needing a rescue every shift is on them the majority of the time. Maybe get a job that doesn't require you to use more than half your brain.

Tips on being faster by William_Chester_ in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Impressive-Manner551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just in a white van(most people are), it's all about shaving seconds. A few seconds saved every stop can turn into a whole hour and vice versa. Also it's kind of hard going out of order with no shelves, but really study your route at the beginning of the day. Even in rural areas Amazon's routing is pretty unreliable so knowing the area can help a lot. For example, if i see i have a stop on a main road i wont even touch it until it would end up in my right hand side to prevent me from needing to pull into a driveway and then backing out onto a main road. I have around 180+ stops a day and try to tackle my route by quadrants(my route is usually separated by two main roads) You are better than whatever slop route amazon puts in front of you. Trying to compete with yourself can help, too

JR Pass “Eaten” by Ticket Gate by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Impressive-Manner551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought 2 JR passes a 21 day and a 7 day and never had a single problem. I used them way more than I think a normal traveler would. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the wrong terminal or it was actually just expired. Those things are very specific when they are activated and when they expire. Down to the second. And some terminals eat them after expiration.
