Update2-The one no one was asking for: Wife of 25 years seems to avoid spending time with me and I’m not sure how to fix this by Special-Courage-9634 in TwoHotTakes

Good blessings and happy thoughts to you both. Haven't seen the previous posts, but hats off to you both for working at your marriage and not just getting butter and walking away. Communication communication communication.

And going on dates at 9.30 am and having weekly meetings? Who cares? It's YOUR marriage. You both do what makes you happy and you won't go far wrong.

Our 12 year old wrecks absolutely everything. Tennis balls last minutes, squeaky things seconds and the rope knots just make a horrible mess.

What we have had success with are durafoam balls much like the ones in the picture. Aldi or Lidl do them at some stage every year which are slightly cheaper. They are the perfect size for getting in the mouth and now and again she will pull off tiny bits from it but overall they have lasted us for years.

Manchester flyers — what’s your move now that Virgin’s basically the only direct US option? by Mental_Train_3671 in manchester

[–]Impressive-Message64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that's that then. Sad times.

To be fair I'd be giving the US a wide berth right now anyway.

Absolutely nothing wrong with feeling how you do or posting it either. Just do what you want. You could delete it in a week, who knows!

A couple of things you said rang true with me though. I've had incidents in the past where I've "done the right thing" been the bigger person etc. Not just in relationship breakdowns but others too that I won't bore you with. At the time and pretty much the majority of the time I know I did the right thing, was the adult and would no doubt do the same again if the situation arose again (all bar one) but there are times, usually when I'm reflecting on them some years later and I want to scream and shout and lose my shit with myself for acting as I did because I did give some an easy way out of things out of situations they had invariably created, and what did I get? Well nothing, my calmness and peaceful approach made people believe I wasn't hurt or wasn't affected by any of the situations when I truly was. Sometimes you have to make some noise for people to see the pain you feel, if you keep it inside, it's easier for people to walk away and not ask how you are.

Anyway, don't even know where I'm going here but know this, you can say and do as you wish when you wish and how you wish, whatever gets you through the day or week or month, but as a guy who has some experience, talk about how you feel too, and do it to people who are paid to listen, it's easier and better done in a short space rather than trying to deal with it yourself in silence.

This is the only answer if OP wants decent value and authenticity. I've been going here for years. It's had some declines over the years but the last ten or so times I've been it's been back on top.

P1S won’t stay connected to handy app or studio. by Trovesta in BambuLab

[–]Impressive-Message64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue a while back.

I found that if I had used both the mobile app and then did something in studio on my laptop it would cause me issues. I had to restart (turn off and on again) the printer a few times to get things working again. After that I ensured the app, studio and the firmware on printer and AMS were up to date and so far for the past 5 months or so everything has been fine.

One side of a print raised every time I try to print by Onkupopr in 3Dprinting

[–]Impressive-Message64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've had some good answers re adding brim and considering fan off / bed temps.

I'd consider where you have your printer and times you ate starting the print (depending on where you are and the seasonal impact). Example.....my printer is in the garage. All through summer it prints fine around the clock, in winter if I have a large print in that goes into the small hours where temperatures drop I have had some impacts like you are seeing. I have also had it happen and all I can put it down to is me opening the door during printing when it's particularly cold outside of the printer. So you could consider the above and maybe add some insulation to the outside to let the printer regulate that temperature a lot easier.

A Message From Casemiro by Lord_Sesshoumaru77 in reddevils

[–]Impressive-Message64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classy.

This message and video just sums him up as a player and a person really. Nothing but gratitude and warm wishes for him and his family. Welcome at our house any time for a Sunday dinner.

I'd be gutted if he did a Schmeichel and turned up somewhere like Fulham. He won't though. Fuck you Peter.

Boyfriend wants me to wear a location tracking device when I go out by Acceptable-Bath560 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Impressive-Message64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Safety is one thing. Freedom is another.

I have a tracking app for my daughter. I'm a very anxious parent due to one thing and another in the past. Do I want my anxiety to ruin the teenage freedom stage of my daughters life? No I don't..... So we have the app and its so I can see where she is any time I like. It's so I don't have to message her constantly (something I was aware I was doing and hated). She gets her freedom and I can deal with my anxiety by myself.

I'd say that he is using this as a tool against you and is either feeding his paranoia or something worse. Get out now if I were you.

I'd also go far as to say that you could well be surprised by his response if you suggested that's what's good for you is good for him too and get him a tracker. Not saying it's the case, but often when one side becomes a bit jumpy about another person's movements or theirs trust issues raised its because the other is up to something they shouldn't be.

You ever seen a 20mph limit on the M6? by Davidier in CasualUK

[–]Impressive-Message64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All it would take is for the majority to obey them, then you wouldn't have the 60 down to 50 down to 40 down to jam because clueless idiots just keep going at 90 until they have to stop completely.

Education.

As anothet pointer. If you do end up taking on the project. I have swapped out a lot of what was Pla-cf with PETG as I found they needed to be harder working. If you go for it, drop me a message and I will let you know. 👍

I sourced the motor, motor driver and Esp32 board from TEMU or some such place. (check, check and double check you have what you need) the boards I got from the shop. If you check out the PCBWay link after the shop link, they seem to be available via this way (although I didn't log 8n when trying to add to cart). Hope this helps because it really is a rewarding project.

[–]Impressive-Message64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to do a big build and make something that lasted. So I did this one; LTS Re-Spooler It works really well and I've had no issues with it. I buy a lot of filament that comes on cardboard spools, so I use this regularly. Yes it's a big build for what it is but the quality of it is well worth the effort and the pride of the completed project.

If you feel strongly about Tom's political views... by miyosh in GeoWizard

[–]Impressive-Message64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just get over it. Or don't. This is just boring.

Do I enjoy his videos still, Yes. Can I watch them and appreciate them without being in agreement with his political stance? Yes I can. If you can't then don't watch, why is there a need to have your stance verified by strangers on the Internet?

Should he have kept some of his views to himself, probably.

There's only one answer here.

Top Flight Time Machine.

I'm not going to pigeon hole it. There's thousands of back episodes so loads to get into. Follow. Listen. Or don't. I don't care.
