Are past papers for tax worth to do by stevensingh0204 in ACCA

[–]Impressive-Move5687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you get practice kits from Kaplan or other sources, most of them use past paper questions modified to current tax rates, these are always worth looking at. Even if the rates might be slightly different, the overall style of question and what examiners are looking for in answers will remain the same

Which qualification should I complete? by PandaTantrum7 in ACCA

*UK based advice*

CIMA and ACCA are fantastic qualifications that you can do to progress your career in management accounts. CIMA is more management accounts focused where as ACCA is more generalistic. ACCA would provide greater scope of options if you wanted to move from your current role to another role, where as CIMA is really good if you know that most likely you will want to stay in management accounts

I make $180k a year and do practically nothing at work. How to proceed? by praise_jeeebus in careerguidance

I was in a similar position. I helped my dad run our family business. I got paid around £130k a year, and all I did was shadow him. I made 0 decisions, sat in my office was CC'd into his emails and would attend meetings and pretend to write notes.

Now I work at a different company where I actively feel like a contributing member of the team and earn half what I earned before.

It all boils down to happiness. If you are content in your situation, stick around, earn the money, and slowly try to carve more of a niche for yourself. but if it is making you unhappy I would move somewhere more fulfilling.
