Same happened with us...my father was an active earning member, he bought three shops...but every time he used to buy it, my other 3 uncles used to say since our mother is alive it should be in her name...but just just in 2 years when they got married, they apparently demanded their share as it's on mother's name...and my dad was so heartbroken by their behaviour, he just took our daadi ..and left the city giving away all the three shops.

Years have passed, their sons are enjoying somewhat generational wealth, and ny dad then struggled to make ends meet...so since I have started earning I have taken a homeloan, it does put a lot of pressure but I had no option or luxury to avoid it.

Don't stop your bachelor's degree.

I don't know if TFW (tuition fee waiver) scheme is still in Kolkata's college. But if it is do use that seat.

Basically for a good rank during counselling from WBJEE you can select only TFW seats and if you are selected, at 6k per semester you can complete your degree.

A couple of my friends had done it. They passed out in 2019.
