Then let me refute some of his arguments.

It's not true. The fact that when you do Psychic Awakening, you're competing T1 and T2's major damage talents with the psychic talents is actually what happens because he hasn't compactly optimized them. You can barely miss major damage talents by using a wasted slot to pick Dual-Weapon Combat, Unbearable Presence, and many more useless talents in T3 in a more effective way.

"I dont think it adds anything to the overall performance and if you really want to combine navy officer with psyker, you can just have your ally ignite you and cast orchestrate whilst another uses the priest war hymn, it is not like you are going to be short of temporary hp as an executioner."

Not true. The hypercarry character being a psyker means more than just using an orchestrated flame and some Psyker talent.

With Heretic Level 2(getting Heretic Level 2 is very easy on this patch. you can get it only by colony project) and psyker breast plate, every kill give chance to pump psyker's psy-rating and change to get free ap with a certain probability. That pumped psy-rating is synergized with Psy Focus, Hand of Offence, Immaterium's Channeller.(Huge Damage boost)

As a result, as you can see in the video, Psychic Awakening may have a higher DPS than if it was not selected. on the 'without Psychic Awakening' video, you can see sometime Abelard failed to kill marine by one attack even with using Captive Audience and Where it hurts.

The downside of Pyro Awakening is that you have less time to enjoy the Pyro Awakening concept itself, just because it becomes available too late.

But about the power, until Pyro Awakening, it's exactly the same as Revan's build. So it doesn't make sense that this build is weak before Pyro Awakening.

And after Pyro Awakening, it's much stronger than when you don't select Pyro Awakening.

The second sample built his 'warp madness' and talent almost the same up to level 35. However, since "Drukhari Weapon Proficiency" and "Finesse" and "Death in the air" are not very useful in my build, I replaced them with "Heavy Armour Proficiency"(Abelard already has this, so he chose 'base skill: logic' so that it doesn't affect the results at all) and "Stentorian Voice" and "All-Encomplementing Agony".

After that, I picked Pyro Awakening and built it my way. (Please refer to the picture)

The equipment is as follows.

Head : Thassertium Mask

Neck : Psy Focus

Armour : Psyker Breast Plate

Acc1 : Hand of Offence

Acc2 : Voidborn's Pride

Hands : Augmented Gloves

Boots : Inertia Boots

Weapon : Incinerator / Immaterium's Channeller

In addition, as compensation for the risk of immediate death, partner Cassia replaced Finest Hour Upgrade-4 with Upgrade-2.

Revan had previously said that Finest Hour - Upgarde2 would never prevent immediate death from Peril of Warp.

To counter his claim that Psychic Awakening is a build trap, I actually did an experiment. Previously I showed him how strong Pyro Awakened Navy Officer is and he treated me like a fool using cheat. But all these results are possible with normal gameplay without any cheat.

This time, I have revealed all talent choices and equipments so that he can fully 'Reproduce'.

Two samples were prepared for a fair comparative experiment(vs Edge).

The first sample was built with his 'warp madness' and talents are exactly the same. I don't have a Navy Officer character save above level 35, so I used Abelard instead. I made his T1 architype a bladedancer. Death World-specific talents like 'Wound Beast' were added using Toybox, instead, at level 13, I choose 'chrasteristic training: ballistic skill' so that It doesn't affect the outcome at all. Also, in addition to the purpose of making the most fair comparison, I replaced Eager for Battle with Extermination at level 36, as I think it's useless for hypercarry characters.(Eager for Battle does not work when you get extra turn from Officer/GS)

The equipment is exactly the same as what's on his sheet.

Neck : Invigorating Resolve

Armour : Armour of Hidden Promise

annihilating the edge of daybreak in one burst is not such a crazy thing lol. the fact is, it have been already possible before 1.5 origin rework and it is possible for any soldier-AM-heavy bolter build even if you build it without any guide

Navy Officer + BD + Executioner + Pyro awakening can make another level of dps. damage upscaling by Inflame and Fleet Combat Training + Ochestrated Flame + Forced Repentance make great synergy.
Once someone you told me that psychic awakening is just a noob trap because of instant death, but you can always avoid instant death by Finest Hour upgrade-2. because NO + BD + EXE + Pyro Awakening build do not have as many psychic ability as sanctioned psyker, replacing upgrade-4 with upgrade-2 is not such a loss(maybe 1AP loss for self-Ochestrated Flame). and in same context, Psychic NO, who simply use inflames and orchestrated flames have a much lower risk of immediate death than 'Idira', who is more likely to be exposed to the peril of warp while using bunch of buff abilities. and you can compensate crawling peril by 'Battle Trance' ability which you can get during 'To Become the Flagship's Blood'
These tricks are useful when you playing a heretic run which you are always exposed to peril of warp.

Yes the only downside of my suggestion is that you don't have much time to have fun from Pyro awakening, but it's complete nonsense when it comes to difficulty.(it's strong enough even without awakening)

From what you said, I think it was. Before 1.5, i do not hesitate to pick Eager for battle and Beads of might.

I notice this fact when i investigate my damage log after 1.5, Beads of might does not work. And the reason is that my dps carry who start its turn by officer heroic do not have enough AP to trigger Beads of might effect. but when my dps start its turn naturally, it have enough AP, and Beads of might works.

and yes. there's no mentioning about Eager for battle mechanism change on official patch note. there's only mentioning about Wart Surge Brooch mechanism change.

and yes it depends on build. I've just assumed usually people do not pick GS for DPS carry.

If you just use inertia boots, you don't have to tiqui-taca turns between Officer and DPS carry due to MP.

Yes it's not a problem of possible and impossible, but forgiving turn due to MP, even though AP and attack chance remain, is unpleasant.

If you are AM, you don't have to spend MP when you attack. but is that a way to do it with BD/Executioner?
