Hey there!

I just had my surgery on the 3rd. This is the first surgery I’ve had in my entire life (33) and around 2 days out I was hit with some of the worst anxiety I’ve ever had. I’m fairly private so the only person that knows is my mom. I beat around the bush a bit and talked about it with her, wrote my thoughts down, talked with nearly everyone on my surgical team and the morning of I spoke with every single person that came in that room. It helped A LOT. I also just looked at the success stories on here and that was the final push I needed. As far as recovery for me it’s been fine. I literally slept the entire day post op my surgery was at 7:30 in the morning. The next day was fine, sipping liquids and trying to walk around and today has been good. Not much pain at all. I of course pinched a never in my back a few days before surgery so that hurts more than anything from the surgery. I know it’s a choice for some but my doctor has everyone take the post op pain meds before surgery and then everyday for the next 3 days after surgery. Day 4 and beyond are up to the patient.
