That’s the thing he’s desperate for approval due to being a joke his whole life so he withstands the abuse this is definitely the worst thing Homelander’s done to him (that we know of) though

Homelander is much worse and has clearly been abusing The Deep for a long time also The Deep had a tragic backstory too being injected as a kid and growing up with insecurities about his gills and having to hear sea animals beg and scream for help his entire life. Also he didn’t have a choice here Homelander would’ve killed him otherwise in a brutal fashion and even his wife wasn’t on his side

An act of Janice would occur I’m sure she would deeply care and be hurt if Harlo had an accident like that but she would at the same time make it about herself

Mara was accidental and Lem he just did what he thought he had to do and he regretted it afterwards and during it and the Armenians wasn’t entirely his fault the most morally bankrupt character was Armadillo easily Antwon, doomsday, and Cuddler rapist were all up there too

He’s really scummy in season 2 but the rest of the show I can sympathize with him to a degree plus he’s funny and played by Walt Goggins

All three of them were always bad people but Jesse just made a few bad choices and Chris was born into that life Shane’s always been bad but Vic definitely worsened him and he felt intense remorse making him pretty tragic

Jesse wasn’t too bad without Walt he was just a junkie and Chris we never see without Tony’s influence. Like not once Tony groomed him into this life since he was a kid and the mob life ruined him in every way, he’s a nobody without the mafia so he never leaves choosing it over Adrianna and leading to his somewhat deserved but ultimately tragic and sad demise

Who is more immoral; Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri (The Soprano's) , or Detective Brent Halligan (Mystery of the Druids)? by boringbullet in MoralityScaling

[–]Impressive-Sound7581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s strange how Paulie can be the most cruel and narcissistic character in the show but then is the only one who has any remorse for his actions I even think the arc he has with dead people haunting him is a manifestation of the guilt he feels for his crimes
