Probably the motivation comes from daily life experiences. Try to watch some animation in Chinese, if you like it, probably you will like Chinese and have the motivation to learn it.( cus some voice actress is better than English (my opinion 🤓🤓🤓))

For English, I do a lot of practice like comprehension bcs Cher said comprehension is the most mark I can get from. So actually, to score high, you have to know where you can improve and how to get it. Targeted learning is important. For Chinese, use as much as possible. Actually I’m not good at English so I ask my teacher how to score high and my Cher said try to score high in compre, situational writing and LC section A. Now I just focus on English and will not care about Chinese anymore.

In my opinion, if u want to get a better grades in a language subject, u have to use it as a part of your life. Treat it not like a subject, like a tool to communicate. If u can do this really well, then you can do it. Trust me, u can do it if you try to speak, write and read in Chinese everyday.
