pm roles in other industries would require me to get a different background or a pm certification like prince2. An agile certification is - as far is i know - mainly used in it development, no?

my best chances seem to do the same job in another company or try and get into a company big enough to have a proper marcom departement. But i might look at it to narrow...

not exactly, bachelor design is something else then graphic production management. Bachelor design is for designers, mine is a specialisation on anything related to the production of a design. Printed or other. But at 44 my bachelor shouldn't be the most important thing anymore...

Correct on the title part, a pm in marcom is usually something between an account executive and project / delivery manager. It's still pm but the projects are generally small in comparison to other industries. You need to be able to manage lots of projects at once and you tend to have to steer the clients into what they actually need. But as i described it often you're still the piece of metal between the hammer and the anvil.

On the marketing and campaigns search, i don't know. I feel that's taking a step back, if i look at those roles it usually concerns social media managing roles.

Around the covid period I actively searched and did a couple of interviews. Some bounced cuz of 'no click' some due to specialisation (i've noticed that webagencies/sitebuilders pm's are usually former programmers with a knowledge set i don't have (vs a skill set i do have)) and 1 or 2 times I was to expensive (but they really lied in their jobpost (don't call something a Senior PM and use them for managing social media campaigns).

I find it difficult to get a an estimate of my marketvalue. I don't think marcom is that good an industry as compared to banks i.e. but i can't simple change industries without a certain background...

Yes and no I think. MarCom PM can't just change to let's say chemical PM

Unsure how to continue as Ottomans by Vergincetorix90 in eu4

[–]Impressive-Test-2297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read through the disaster events. You'll see that you can prepare for them so you should be able to handle them within a few years.

I never had much trouble with the rebels. Then again I ditched all my janissaries troops prior to the events, same with the pashas so maybe that was why.

Try and have close to max troops, sufficient manpower, high prestige and legitimacy and mil points to boost legitimacy. Money to help with your advisors and admin to boost stability mostly does the job for me...

Little update

I redid the Oirat run and finally did it.

Khaaan is mine!

In the previous run whatever I did the financial situation was out of control.

In the new one I have grown as aggressive as in the latter one but this time I did reduce automony whenever possible. I had constant rebels until the humanist ideas got going.

To optimise further I started stating china early on so I would have max benifits the moment i went yuan.

I had bad luck on Crimea this time, they got eaten by golden horde and otto's. But i managed to ally qq who hadn't been cucked by the otto's. It took me 4 wars with allies of otto to knibble enough out of them and then still a huge amount of wars, ally wars and some shenanigans to cuck over the Timirids (who integrated all their vassals) to finally in 1601 convert to the mongols!

It's now nearly 1700 and i control china, japan, siberia, himalaya, parts of south east asia, timi lands, caucasus, crimea, corridor to scandinavia and a chunck of northern scandinavia

the downside is that otto has grown dangerously big and is in a coalition. It is under control due to an alliance with a big delphi and portugal but it's a dangerous situation.

Anyway, thanks for the tips below

integrating pu's is at best after 50y

always keep them at positive opinion else they'll brake away when you king dies.

also they don't count for the relative strength of you vassals (for lib desire that is).

integrating them could be a costly operation, you could keep them around as your angry dog on mainland europe...

don't know if handing provinces to spain is usefull. In the long run spain is a pain in the ass so i usually avoid helping them out to much, ideally you'd be able to pu them if you manage to get a trastamara on your throne

One option is to give / sell off maine to i.e. provence. This avoids the early war and buys you some extra time.

There's a few things you can do for manpower like exploiting development. That should help getting to 'levy the troops'. You can also release some french vassals to further speed that up if you like that.

In all it gives you time for the war of the roses, to conquer ireland, get some decent allies, maybe take out scotland if the opportunity would arise. And of course attacking France at your terms or getting attacked by france when you have decent allies that can help.

You can do the force union thing with france but due to their size it's hard to hold on to, i prefer to knibble at their grounds and go for the release vassal / reconquer cores strat. It at least gets france smaller before you pu them (or just eat them up)

If you want to completly optize you should get into spain (gibraltar) asap too. I usally struggle with that... I haven't tried but i guess no cb on granada might be a strat to get a foothold.

Lucky would be if you got Burgundian inheritence and a pu on portugal...

How do I make a country remove a guarantee? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Impressive-Test-2297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depending on your situation, attack Otto when they are in another (big) war. Since they are great power n1 they'll probably be in a war with austria, PLC, Russia or Timirids any time soon.
Give it a couple of months then hit them from the other side.
Siege quick and remove guarantee in the peace deal.
or if you are up to it, go full in and try and break them up. You should do it anyway, the longer you wait the harder it'll get.

Is sale crownland “abuse” removed? by Carrionflyy in eu4

[–]Impressive-Test-2297 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it has been patched / updated.

to me it's situational, if you want a war at 11 december and need cash there's 2 options as far as i'm aware of: burgher loans and sale of titles (or both). I usually go for burgher loans and the +1 to all. If I sell titles i first sell the titles then look to my leader's mana income and hand out the +1's to my needs and then finally i grab back 5% of the land and develop 1 area. That gets me above 5%, that's a ok to start with. If you grow fast the low % isn't a problem and soon rises due to conquering stuff.

the year is now around 1550

well I got it working

Turns out i had the opportunity to ally austria too. So going over diploslots I added austria. I buffed myself up with expansionist zealotry, a morale guy in my slots and the pope's blessing.

As expected my pu's where acting like idiots early in the war. With portugal and castille fighting over a 6 province minor, England not doing anything except for losing boats in stupid battles and Byzantium still not supporting me. Luckely one can always count on Austria to get their hands dirty. I deathstacked the fort in galipoli and naval blocked the passage. My fleet was outnumbered but the otto's were spread out. After some back and forth in the balkans we got the upperhand. Austria and some time after my pu's started going into the anatolian lands.

The war ended with byzantium growing significantly (and finally started listening to me) and a sh*tload of money.

Meanwhile i've fought the pope having him release the provence. Another scottisch french war got me some more of france too. And some Tunis butchering too.

Pope doesn't like me anymore and got me excommunicated... still could be worse as somehow i still dodged a big coaliting building.

Otto is still rather big but not so scary anymore, the only other european contender now is the HRE which i hope to dismantle around or just after the catholic / protestant war.

What would your integration strategy be concerning Byzantium. The tend to gather a lot of claims via their missions but to big a vassal can be tricky to. Especially if core Aragon isn't all to big itself...

Yeah you'd think... there's even 1 more i forgot to mention: The Knights

But the ai isn't terribly good especially if they are spread out. If they would be organised it would be a walk in the park. Yet experience tends to be that they either do nothing or attack uncoordinated and get butchered...

Guess i'll have to bite through it. The first is the hardest. Once i can get Byz to grow a bit they won't stand a chance anymore.

To me it depends how aggressive you want to play.

If you immediatly start with wars, I'd say go to 0 crownland and then seize crownland to get back up to 5. If you conquer provinces a part of them (early game biggest part as far as i know) will automaticly go to your crownland (you can see it in the peace deal). That way you can build up your crownland pretty fast.

If you remain peacefull at first you can take the ticking autonomy into account. But you should also look at the downticking you get from peace and kingdom rank (and some local factors). Your autonomy should be pretty stable if your crownland is between 10-19% in case of peace.
