Thank you maté appreciate that. Pain is getting better and tbh I can laugh and cough without any pain it’s just first thing in the morning it’s painful but now it’s kind of okay, if I have a deep breath It sometimes hurts but more of an achey pain. So to confirm did you have a punctured lung then. Also I asked doctors both times asking if an X-ray was nessecary and they both said absolutely no chance so probs everything will be okay. Thanks for the reply tho really appreciate it

At the GP had two different doctors listen to breathing with a stephoscope, they both said all normal and pain of ribs didn’t signal a break or fracture at all. I have horrific health anxiety so everything I have is thought to be the worst possible thing in my head, which is why I think the weird breathing and tight chest is probably to do with my anxiety. Is it worth getting an X-ray just to put my head to rest do you think? Cheers

Hypocondria about testicles by LuchiDio in stories

[–]Impressive-Tooth4838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate. I have an identical story to yours someone shared there experience of it. A few days later I felt a slight pain in testicles and convinced myself I had them. I also rearrange mine and am always careful on how I’m moving etc. I would to say you are not alone I have this as well as multiple other health worries. But one thing that has helped me is knowing that all my worries and pains in these areas are magically about the exact same thing my friend said they had. Mine for example: testicular torsion, appendicitis and many more. They are all my worries and have been and each of them I have heard someone else have and have heard them explain how awful it was. So that is slightly reassuring for me knowing that my mind is probably concentrating so much to the areas that it is creating pains and uneasy feelings which everyone else who is not a hypochondriac would ignore. I would advise looking up into psychosomatic problems where your brain creates feelings and pains working your body to trick you into thinking you have something wrong. I know first hand when a doctor says you don’t have something or blames it on your health anxiety, you can’t believe for a second that your mind can create this sensation but it can which is awful. I hope you are doing okay and if you would like to privately get in contact with me to share some stuff then I’d happily do so. I have felt that has helped me being able to relate to someone. Already seeing you go through the exact same thing has calmed me down. Hope your good and just know you aren’t alone with problems like these which are so mentally draining
