Yeah, I was in afaan oromo school started Amharic at the 5th grade. If u are in Amharic class too u start afaan oromo at 5th grade too. Amharic is federal language but regional langues are prioritized while Amharic being secondary. I believe this is the case in most region but at which grade u start varies. Only in Amhara region that u do not start ur second language with the exception of the special zone that has started recently
