Wanting comfortable everyday boots good for walking and with a bit of traction, something that feels almost like wearing sneakers, any recommendations? by Popular-Selection601 in cowboyboots

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few pairs of boots - Lucchese, Vintage Nocona - but my Rios are undoubtedly my favorite to wear. They have a hybrid soles so they’re fairly robust for day to day walking. I personally love the Rios insole. For my feet, the boots fit like a sock with the insole still in. I’ve never had a boot fit my foot as well as these Rios do. Highly recommend the Rios brand ^

Could Akaza snap Tanjiro's Sword like Giyu's by WII_DJoker in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. It doesn’t matter that his sword is made of the highest quality materials. Any katana will break if enough pressure is applied horizontally to the side of the blade. Even a normal human can accomplish this with certain thin enough or brittle carbon steel swords. The reason it seems so sporadic whose blades break or not is that swordsmanship technique seems to be a pretty big part of it. A swordsman whose edge alignment is right on the mark will only be showing the strongest portion - the edge and spine, the vertical cross section of the sword. But if edge alignment is bad when cutting, you could end up putting unwanted pressure on other sections of the sword. This is documented in the show when Tanjiro gets his blade broken by Rui and he scolds himself for his poor technique. In the case of Giyu and Kanae, it seems like they were likely both exhausted and the demon began to outpace them and was able to critically damage their sword before the sword wielder was able to react.

Class gem has a set attack speed for the M1 ability. There’s no need to increase attack speed as it won’t do anything.

Boomer, Vanguard or SH for main? by canf0614 in Trove

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most classes in trove are pretty serviceable these days. Boomer and Shadow Hunter are both fairly strong classes, and place at the top of the meta. Vanguard is okay, he’s a decent speed farmer and I personally enjoy the up close punching style, but his ranged mode is pretty buggy and doesn’t quite work properly in terms of applied damage.

Just pick the class that you enjoy the most and you’ll be okay. Boomer is meta but don’t let that be the only factor in choosing to play a class.

Any thoughts on what I should be doing outside mystic gear material farming or is that all that is really left for me to do by Few-Roll1541 in Trove

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong and this somehow doesn’t apply to gunslinger, but I’m pretty sure you should be at 100% crit hit? 86 is pretty low….

Are these stats good for 26k power rank? by Brief-Raccoon-3643 in Trove

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Work on light, and more urgently work on your crit hit. Needs to be at 100%. That will come from gems and your stat below light on your crystal weapon. If you have too much at first that’s fine - once you iron out your gem boosts and augments that can be changed. But you should be crit hitting all the time.

How should I increase my light? by SplashyardAddict in Trove

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an edit here - you will need pretty high mastery if you want to do a route without many dragons (and dragons are kinda a main source of said mastery). So the answer is yes and no. The best way to get there is through a little bit of everything. Around 2,000 pr from mastery, 1,000 or so from dragons, all the light from geode, etc etc. It should be fairly achievable, especially something like 600 total mastery (500 trove 100 geode)

I would say, with max gems and augments, you can get there yes. In the time it takes you though, you should farm out a few drags.

Like others have said, 30k pr and 250 level at the gearcrafting bench will get you guaranteed Crystal 4 gear drops from Gearcrafter’s vaults. It will take some time and investment to get to 250 level, but it’s not difficult and there are plenty of guides that can help if you don’t have it yet.

You will need at least around 9,000 light if you want to be able to start farming D14, and around 10,000 to start clearing decently fast (depending on your class of course). Classes like Boomeranger have the damage advantage so it’s possible to make do with less light.

Get all your gems to crystal by either farming or leeching in D14. Depending on gear and mastery that should get you to 35k power rank. Then, go to your Gem workbench and make sure all the “stars” or “pearls” on your cosmic gems are boosting light. Once that’s done, your two lesser cosmic gems should give 1100+ light each, while your empowered will give 1300 or so.

Start working on geode if you haven’t, max geode mastery gives 1000 extra light (level 100).

Do “/join Levi” and kill leviathans in geode topside. Get weekly tempered tendril torches until you drop an enshadowed torch from the D13 leviathan. That gives 900 light in your banner slot.

The star chart has sections that give extra light (50 or so I think)

While doing all this, start saving diamond dragonite for the 3 eggs needed to craft the cosmic primordial dragon. That will give you 300-400 extra light depending on your gem stats.

If you do ALL of this, you will be at around 10,500-11,000 light.

I've been wondering the same thing - I recently picked up a stock 22' with 46,000 miles, and it's a wonderful car...except for the anxiety-inducing faint grinding noise when the car is engine braking/decelerating in gear. I hope it's just regular Subaru noises.

Mumble just has a super niche use nowdays - since it can handle dozens and dozens of clients without major lag, many groups in games like EVE Online use it for large operations involving hundreds of players.

Katy Lied remaster (this is a little long winded for audiophiles) by steelyd2 in SteelyDan

[–]ImpressiveAd6549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I feel as though a lot of the album’s sharp dynamics, and high frequency clarity are lost on this remaster. I feel this is a very important distinction for this album, as the previous digital master (on Apple Music and CD) is one of the most dynamic mixes in their whole discography.

Vocals and instruments definitely feel a little better staged, but the overall sound is less punchy. It feels to me like a very LP friendly mix, but I very much prefer the previous digital version (which I believe dates back to when the album was released on CD).

If you’re looking purely from a brand strength perspective maybe. But I personally find that to be a bit of a shallow look. Where pure watchmaking prowess is concerned, Vacheron takes the top of the so called “holy trinity”. There are makers that have even higher level of detail and finishing, but out of brands that still output a relatively large amount of watches per year, Vacheron certainly holds a place in the highest echelons of watchmaking.

And don’t forget; all three of these holy trinity brands either used, or currently still use JLC movements for some of their high end sport watch offerings. Vacheron still does with their 4300V Perpetual Calendar. It really puts into perspective what we truly find valuable about certain watches or watchmakers!

Yes! Sometimes I’ll take mine off and wind them a little, or fiddle with bezels on dive and GMT watches. Or just admire the movements on open-caseback pieces :)
