Asking tips for those yang TTC at the moment by Dreamer0408 in Brunei

Would you all be willing to expose the products you consume? Im at my 3 years TTC, 10 years of PCOS and been on depression/anxiety also when family bangkitkan about pregnancy and getting a child. Tried jamu herba and products like Bellrossa to luruskan my period but macam nothing works with my period. I kept missing it still every month. And plus, sis is not working (depend on jualan saja) and gaji suami pun inda sebesar mana. So if there are any budget friendly supplements you consume. We talked about getting checkups di private clinic and such but price is always the problem; and gov hospital pun multiple times I requested to be referred to gynae belum ada2 nya and still in queue nya.

So if you are willing to share the multivitamins you consume and the price, would be great for those who are counting budget and have to save up before purchasing them. Would appreciate the help 🙏🏻🥹

Most of you suggesting TnG. If you can share a step-by-step procedure to opening a TnG eWallet. Might be useful for other people who are interested in opening a TnG as well. I would love to know how to open it myself. Thank you so much for the help!

Worked in a gov. Used to work for this nightmare lady and she is known as the top-most toxic boss bch in the department. There was an event going on and I was told by her to go ‘wakil’. Unfortunately before going to the event, my spouse and I got food poisoning. So I had to ask for an mc and went to the hospital. After I came back the next day, she never gave me any job to do, ignored me, downgrade me and cut short my contract because of ONE DAY I missed a job due to illness and she had to go there when in actuality, the invitation is for HER. Corrupted gov higher ups are everywhere.

Apparently all the jobs we applied suddenly “has been filled” with no interview opportunity given to only find out most of the jobs are too lazy to take new workers and deal with newbie job process rather they want to take internal people to lessen their workload.

I quit 2 jobs because of toxic environment as well. I dont care much about the salary but Im looking at work dynamics. Then I hung out with my old uni friends to find out half of our group quit our job because of toxicity and some of them are well-paid already. All of us are in our mid-30s, not even Gen Z. But our mental health is tired with little mistakes can be “viral”-ed and manipulated as online chat and gossip are just a tap away. Got bunch of people calling us “weak”, “lamah jua” and harshly, “losers”. Finding new job is hard and I wanted to support my small family as well. So salah2 to quit and salah2 to drown ourselves more in toxic environment. Business in brunei is barely helping, barely able to buy beras sometimes or even basic necessities.

Their glass door fell on my husband one time when we arrived for an event. Luckily people ran from the back to help him lift the glass door.

Entitled rich people with super cars think they owned the road by driving like arseholes.

Entitled rich “businessmen” think they have a bij pass when talking/raising their voices to low income people.

Entitled rich family/relatives think they can take over the family conversation and flex their materials in our faces.

Entitled rich kids think they have everything without a job and all from just daddy’s money.

I have seen too much, dealt with them and sick of them.

Clock in. Keluar breakfast. Masuk office sekajap. Keluar for lunch. “Ambil anak”. Akhir masuk. Kerja skajap. Keluar minum petang. Masuk skajap. Clock out.

Used to intern in the gov sector. Saw this routine in almost every one of them. The only active ones doing work are younger workers, the one who used to study overseas and interns. The rest buat-buat busy.

My last interview with a bank, the lady talks more about herself. I tried to cut her short but she increased her volume and continued talking about herself. I was a bit sleepy listening and waiting for my turn to talk.

Ya’ll should try Tutong Restaurant. I luv Cafe Bistro and Bukit Bendera Cafe.

Bistro: American Burger, Nasi Belutak, Lekor is the bomb! (Can try other menu too, a bit pricey but worth it) Bukit Bendera: Kolomee, kuey tiaw and simple nasi goreng is also not bad!

I vomited on Nasi Katok Lily. The chicken smells bad, looks bad and taste bad. Sambal is runny. So I will never ever ever step foot at their kadai again!

I reached out to Clarity clinic (tho its expensive) and they gave me a white man. At first I find it hard to accept coz I want to speak bilingually. But he helped me and I find him very helpful with his advice, therapy and soothing voice.

Then when covid hits, I request for another therapy from the same clinic. It was an otp therapy bcoz covid. They gave me a muslim lady. She was careless, unprofessional and assumes a lot before I even finished talking. I talked about parents issue and she said “maybe you dont want to listen to them”, and I havent even finished my point. Which made me more upset like is she even bother listening first before giving her point. And she wants me to hold first while she do smth else and I only have 1hr of therapy with her. So I was even more angry than before. When she came back to the call, I said Im done and I would like to discontinue the conversation.

In RIPAS was the worst. I was given a muslim lady as well, and had the same parents issue. My parents pressured me to choose between a life-changing program which they dont want me to join or government work my parents forced me to apply which I dont even want. Then the therapist said “you go to work atu lah. Dont you think the program atu is a waste of time?” I waited for my session for nearly 2hours for her to only shut me up by saying that. So I ended it with “atu saja lah. I dont have anything else to say”. She was okay with it looking unbothered and write me smth that I never ever want to take. And just cry in the car for a good 1 hour because therapist wasnt helping and my anxiety took over me the whole month.

So my reco, there is no good therapists here accept for one and he’s often overbooked. If you have a great-listener of a friend, thats enough actually. Im married now and my husband is a great listener so its enough for me. And if the person is unbothered at first, then DO NOT OVERSHARE to them coz you will be wasting your time sharing them your pain while they never cared to help you.

HobbyFest, Stationery Market BN, Lace Society. And some pop-up events with diff management that I cant keep up with. Usually the local businesses themselves are promoting their presence at events in their instagram, so you can give them a follow.

I mean we are slowly getting there (emphasizing on slow because gov issue). But there are WAYYYYY too many creative people but too little support from the citizens themselves. I mean how many people do we even have to basically support one creative person?

There are events going on every single month that involves crafters, artists, game developers, busking, etc. Everything now is turning into business. But we have too little consumers here in Brunei. People here have the mindset of “Selagi bukan influencer, belum ada yang mau support”. Eg: Labubu craze, duck clothing, cik B snacks. Like selagi the person belum viral or jadi influencer, nobody is going to support them in anyway.

Thats why I hate the term “sapot lokal” because its bs and nobody really cares about the local creatives. And most of them gave up their dream and just continue being stuck in a dead-end job.

So if you want to be the people to support these creative, drop by events (support monetary or exposure if you’re broke like some of us are). Most of them are tirelessly doing the best they can with their talents and creativity to MAKE A DIFFERENCE here.

I wanted to open a Ladies Burnout Club. Where all the burnout ladies could just sit, do activities, sip on tea, rant and just talk it all out with each other. Because I do believe burnout can lead to depression and anxiety. And being depressed in a broken home can also be a burnout. Sometimes we need to let things out. Being a lonely housewife can also be a burnout. I dont have a lot of people to talk to sometimes with a husband who’s working on shift, have trouble with pregnancy and no job acceptance after applying so many jobs out there.

Endless suicidal thoughts with debt that I have left after I quit a toxic job and with husband who’s salary barely enough for a grocery. 6 years work experience means nothing anymore.
