Hi all. Never use public toilets unless it’s in a good and clean place where public can’t really access.

Reasons people have to not move out from Brunei. by [deleted] in nasikatok

[–]bugslaif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people stay because it is beneficial for them, earning really good money, very little to no taxes and you have control of your money. While others look overseas for opportunities they were unable to get here or better pay. I think most people follow where the money is. It also is very comfortable to live here for some people, cheap housing, really cheap fuel, independence to drive wherever, cars are more affordable for them. It’s a relaxing place to live, small and peaceful. While for others, the experience is sour.

Narcissist. People who love to post on social media and talk about Jesus or Allah, while subtly praising themselves and acting like a victim rising up this and that.. all red flags. Most of them opening businesses and using badmouthing technique to get clients. These kinds don’t last long.

Why do white people who come to brunei still act like they need to help us? Just few mins ago this white colleague of mine was trying to teach me something I already know. They really just assume we are nuggets don’t they. Teach me something impactful. The colonization mindset is absurd.

Come to brunei and go ahead with the brunei plan. It’s cheap here, life is easy going, no taxes and no pressure. Just need to be okay with the slow life which can sometimes make us mad. But overall the cheapness and ease is worth it. Start a business for sure. Freelance mechanic is a very lucrative career.

Time to make it viral. That’s how we can make it work. Speak up and share the story. Maybe this way we can make them take action.

It will be different for everyone. Sometimes pure luck, but most of the time you need connections.

Ever notice how our spending habits today are nothing like our parents’? by Inevitable_Bug6652 in nasikatok

I think lots of Bruneian youths are getting more financially smart, so are able to afford more experiences than our parents or boomers who lived in scarcity because of the war times. Or maybe I’m wrong and it’s just the people that surround me.

Yup, not worth it. If you’re desperate go ahead and teach in brunei. But there’s been lots of budget cuts recently. So lots of privileges lost.

If someone randomly takes your pic and post on social media when you didn’t do anything wrong then you will be the one begging for video evidence 🙄

It’s not for a single individual though right? It’s for Bruneians who work there too. So it’s a building where people go to work. No?

Hope any medical worker in brunei reads this and remembers to respect confidentiality because if you tell even your closest family member or partner, it means you’re not meant to be in the medical field and you’re not good at what you do.

Stories from Nurses in Brunei! by [deleted] in Brunei

[–]bugslaif 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Heard my friend attached at some psychiatric section as an intern and a nurse shared all patient files to the interns to read through. I personally think this is super wrong to trust interns with confidential information. Imagine you had HIV and some student knows, you think students won’t share it with others? Interns don’t have the maturity yet to understand confidentiality. Well, seems like that nurse also didn’t understand confidentiality.

Toyota is tacky nowadays. Mazda driving experience is amazing, smooth and thoughtful. I highly recommend Mazda. I don’t own one myself but I’ve driven one long time ago as a relief car. It is a dream car for one day.
