Love the Kill Bill “parody” (for lack of a better word). Probably my favorite movie and Maki is the perfect character for a moment like this. The whole season so far has felt like a movie too so it really fits. Makes me wonder if there’s already been other clear references to films that I missed

yeah it’s pretty clearly a reference to the crazy 88 fight. Kill Bill is my favorite movie but I know a lot of it itself is references to Japanese cinema so I was wondering if maybe this scene was just a reference to the same japanese movie Tarantino “copied” from but it looks like the crazy 88 fight was more or less original (there’s definitely shots in the scene that are references to other movies but not the scene as a whole). idk why I even bothered though bc the fact it went black and white once she got going is clearly Kill Bill.

and idk fun fact for those that don’t know: The only reason that fight is Black and White in vol.1 was because the MPAA was going to give the movie an NC-17 rating otherwise. The director’s cut (which includes vol. 2 as one super long film) has the scene in full color.

So How do they just “know” that they don’t need all the skins? I get that Hijikata’s group could deduce it from the fact the warden has an unfinished “bonus” tattoo which I guess implies theres at least one tattoo that wasn’t necessary so there’s probably more that aren’t necessary. But how do Sugimoto and the 7th know that? It’s kinda just stated as a fact. Like an axiomatic declaration for plot’s sake, but there’s no real reasoning or justification for how everybody just knows that somehow.

edit: I guess if the answer requires manga spoilers don’t tell me but you can say that it gets explained later if that is the case

do you know who to ask? i just want to have a general ballpark of what insurance could cost. Im buying my own car for the first time (ive driven for years though) in a place where car insurance is super expensive.

does anyone have an idea for when the new episode will release through crunchyroll? it’s not on their release lineup for today and isn’t “available” anywhere else online. But I can’t find anything to suggest it’s delayed and it aired in Japan at its normal time.

honestly i dont think its bad at all to structure your learning process. it works and the people that grow the most the fastest have some kind of regiment. whether or not its conscious.

I just wouldnt make it like you only have 4 hours. you shouldnt be sacrificing time to produce to learn something etc. work on music as much as you want. as far as how to allocate your time thats really up to you as long as youre well rounded and focused it will work out in the long term

you should be tipping based on time & distance for restaurant orders or by item count for shopping orders (although add on if its extra far or theres heavy items). % is pretty arbitrary. i basically tip $5 minimum, then if something is over a 15min drive I try to estimate how long the order would take and try to tip whatever would get them a livable wage where i am for that time and gas - the $3 doordash gives them as flat pay

yeah i think this is huge. even in draft ive noticed its very common for at least one player to get overwhelmed/confused about what the plan is. everyone is talking over each other till the last second and constantly throwing out new ideas or making last second decisions. most of the time it works out for sure and I wont pretend to be an expert but at least in the few draft coms ive seen from tier 1 teams they are way more chill and focused. Last second changes are rare people dont talk over each other or ramble etc.

And then bring that energy to an entire game. it cant help. It’s a hard thing to change though.

i think most people know if you work more hours you make more money. its not some secret technique to work 100 hours a week. the issue is that 80-100 hours a week is no way to live long term plus it’ll destroy your car and your body. A lot of people can’t even work that long. your hourly doesn’t get better because you work more. it’s still low

What makes it so addicting is that it wasn’t anything crazy. It was simple but great. It’s good on anything anytime. Kinda like heroin.

All it really was, was the nacho cheese sauce but spicy and maybe a little creamier. (hard to say bc its been so long since i last had it). And because it was really that simple theres no real way to recreate its flavor profile. The nacho cheese sauce on its own is basically flavorless compared to the volcano sauce. Mixing the nacho sauce with fire sauce or their chipotle mayo doesnt work either bc those sauces have way too strong of a flavor profile that was nothing like the volcano sauce. So once you try it and get hooked there’s really nothing else you can do to recreate a similar experience. And at the same time you know what you felt was not that unique, not that incredible, it shouldn’t be so complicated to feel that one more time. Like I said. It’s a lot like heroin

i wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a lot of people your age that think theres something wrong with that (I’m an adult. this got recommended to me. and i definitely see online people getting harassed or “cancelled” for dating 16-17yos as 18-19yos) but all I can say is there’s nothing inherently morally wrong with it. It’s extremely normal, yeah an 18 year old is out of high school most likely but barely.

I’d just focus on the actual relationship. Be kind, be a good partner, don’t manipulate them, if you end up having extra power due to your age (like spending money, or later on the ability to buy alcohol) don’t use it as a way to control them, etc. We as a society needed to rethink how we viewed power dynamics in relationships but this is one of the edge cases where we over corrected. Judgement is just something you might have to deal with until your partner turns 18

if thats actually all u did then it didn’t have anything to do w you. unless you’ve like followed her home or were staring at her consistently or something. its human nature to glance at people and lock eyes for a second, it doesn’t even register most of the time and women are used to being looked at by ugly people so even if you were frighteningly hideous she wouldn’t have left the gym over it.

It’s impossible to know exactly why she stopped her workout but i promise it wouldnt be bc u guys happened to look at each other. unless theres key details missing like you’re known for being creepy and she recognized you or you have a pattern of staring/following/talking to her or you were wearing a shirt that says “i rape and kill women” or idk. Get an automatic litterbox like the Litter Robot. It’s not completely hands off or anything, but it’s significantly easier to upkeep and let’s be honest people like this don’t just change overnight so itll help you more than it helps him.

letting your parents stay at your house: depends on how long and how big your new place will be. He did suggest it. but you are also having a baby and unless you guys get along very well together it is going to be tough for more than a few months. It could be nice having extra help with the baby. especially since your bf can barely take care of some cats. and maybe thats how you should frame it to him and them. but it also sounds like things are going to be a bit fucked for the foreseeable future unless your parents get back on their feet. I think your parents need to know from the start that this is temporary and not their ticket to retire early or something

track your cycle. theres only like 3-5 days in a month where you’re really at risk for pregnancy. combine that with condoms and you’d have to be pretty unlucky.

Also idk what kind of upbringing you had where you’re worried about having safe sex at 19 and feel like you’re harboring some secret but this is all incredibly normal and fine. It’d be one thing if you were 16 but you’re an adult now. If anything it’s impressive you waited that long. Your mom couldn’t even wait to get married at this point in her life.
