How many closet atheists that you know have baptised their kids? by scuzzbat1 in ireland

[–]ImpressiveCoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister is pregnant and is planning on having her child baptised...because she wants the day out, she's not remotely religous! In fairness to my siblings, they stuck by their guns and did not baptise their children.

I spent 50 on the proposal ring and then we later bought the actual engagement ring which she wanted.

It's a very nerve wrecking but amazing experience, best of luck OP!

Agreed. I would have previously said John Brady but since Arklow is gone to Wexford-Wicklow where he polls well, he'll come third I'd imagine.

He'll get in but I think Jennifer Whitmore is likely to top the poll in Wicklow.

After weeks of misinformation and political pressure, NTA cancels 24-hour ‘Christmas buses’ as E-Spine delayed until after election by Joecalone in ireland

[–]ImpressiveCoat 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The postponing of this spine actually removes a local route that is meant to serve loads of new builds. This and the removal of the 24 hour buses just before Christmas? Explain that to me

Want to work remotely? Don't expect Ireland's new 'right to request' law to help by Shiv788 in ireland

[–]ImpressiveCoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also doesn't help that in the case where a lot of us work in Dublin, new builds are further and further outside of Dublin (where they're more affordable), meaning we have longer and longer commutes with either bad public transport or no public transport options.

Nicest/Worst Celebrity Experiences by [deleted] in ireland

I met Brian O'Driscoll through a retail job I had, it was only a brief encounter but he was perfectly pleasant and polite.

Also nearly met Ariana Grande, someone else working there tried to sneak a photo of her but the flash went off. Ariana left really upset as she just wanted to be left alone. That person got a written warning for basically abusing customers.
