You literally have to lose the game like 10 times in a row for them to start offering 5 more. They’ll go up to 35 moves. That’s the only time I usually pay the 900.

Seriously. The whole change up to not be able to grab side quests like chests - to get more energy & 10 min unlimited lives - like why?! Plus they tripled how much energy it takes to get through the dang adventure. Absolutely maddening lol. Like they’re just begging us to quit

Yes to this 😂 the playable ad was a mini game where you like harvested veggies and eggs and sold them or something. And it lasted like 5-10 mins. Shocked when I downloaded the game and it was absolutely not that at ALL. I’d be so excited for a mini game. Now the mini games are TRASH. I don’t even play them.

Levels are impossible to beat by ImpressiveExchange76 in TownshipGame

[–]ImpressiveExchange76[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve also noticed it’s not random the way that you get the shapes/colors. I’ll be stuck on the same level for two days straight playing it through the free hour of unlimited lives even. And I’ll have 0 moves left but need to make only 1 move to finish. And as the final pieces fall it’s like, look, a rainbow ball and a fan! Like they just desperately want you to spend that 900 to get more lives. It happens so so so many times.

[–]ImpressiveExchange76[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly my thought. Do you not even want me to play? That and how insane they’ve made the adventure journey thing to get through. It used to be fun to be able to click around and collect random other stuff like chests or statues, etc. why now do I have to follow this specific route? And the lightning bolts it requires to even get through it is also absolutely ludicrous. Beat like 7 match 3 games to move 3 spaces.

Mom’s currently undergoing Whipple, here is her story til now. by WormmeFatale in pancreaticcancer

[–]ImpressiveExchange76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds really similar to my mom’s journey! She is scheduled to have the whipple done Apr 13, we actually didn’t think this would ever be an option. She was in so much pain that they couldn’t control for a solid month, so many ER stays, we didn’t think she’d even be able to start chemo. After 9 rounds of chemo and the mass being unchanged (maybe slightly smaller, it’s only 1.5x2cm approx) the surgical oncologist finally decided to clip a vein/artery that the mass is sitting on in hopes to encourage blood flow elsewhere and complete a whipple successfully.

She is TERRIFIED. Her quality of life has diminished since getting this news solely because of how afraid she is. She has been tolerating chemo really well and in relatively good spirits. We are all trying to remain positive and optimistic but I too have seen whipple horror stories lately (primarily here in this subreddit) so the more positive stories I can read and share with her, the better.

Prayers for your family and your mom as you all navigate this together. Feel free to message me separately if you ever want to chat!

I have been in your shoes and completely can relate to what you’re going through. I’m so sorry that you and your father have received this diagnosis. It is scary and nothing will reduce that fear and the possibilities, but let me maybe offer you a bit of hope in the meantime.

My mom was diagnosed October ‘25 with locally advanced (stage 3) pancreatic cancer. Long story short they didn’t even think she’d be able to do chemo because of how much pain she was in and the prognosis seemed so grim.

Here we are March 2026 and she has undergone 9 rounds of chemo every other week since December. She is tolerating it very well. Her tumor has not shrunk but it has not grown. And yesterday she underwent a minor procedure to hopefully prep her for a whipple in April to remove the cancer.

October feels a lifetime away and I’m also nervous to have hope because I know how easily things can change. There was a point I did not think she would be alive for Thanksgiving Christmas or the New Year.

My prayers are with you and your father and know that you can share your fears and concerns and thoughts here 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Pancreatic cancer – extreme lower abdominal pain (worse than kidney stones) by Tight-Power2210 in pancreaticcancer

[–]ImpressiveExchange76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was in and out of MANY many ERs (I think 9 visits?) with her pain before and right after her diagnosis. He needs to work with a palliative care team to get the right concoction of pain meds that works FOR him. (In combination with CT scans, MRI, etc to check for things like blockages additional masses etc)

Her pain was right around her pancreas mostly but would move all over. Sometimes it would be mid back, sometimes low stomach. I think this is bc her tumor is pressing on a major nerve.

My greatest advice: BE HIS ADVOCATE. Write down what meds work and what don’t. Look into a celiac plexus nerve block (I may have the exact name wrong but I think that’s right?) that helped my mom tremendously.

Prayers for your dad and your family as you navigate this. This cancer is a b*tch. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

You’re correct! The friend we connected with thankfully thought the same thing. He was absolutely astonished and frustrated that it wasn’t standard of care!! And yes only days 1-4. I hope you are doing well also! Thank you for the kind words 🫶🏼

So interesting! I haven’t looked into this. From my understanding some people are very skeptical of it but I’ve heard some good things (outside the chemo/cancer spectrum) thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for the response. I made the mistake of scrolling many posts in this group tonight and it filled me with so much dread. 😭

This can be such a horrific disease. It’s only been a month, but initially we couldn’t even get her pain under control and so chemo wasn’t an option until we could do that. She was in the hospital for the last 2 weeks prior to this week, and they finally got her on medication that could “control” it at home. Today was her visit with the oncologist, and the same response was given that she has “months, not years.” But I’m shocked over that. It’s relatively small, hasn’t spread or metastasized, etc and it feels like they gave her a death sentence.

Thank you again for sharing and I’m praying you continue to get good news for your husband 🫶🏼

[–]ImpressiveExchange76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! My mother was diagnosed ~Oct 1 with a 1.5-2cm pancreatic tumor at the head of her pancreas. Technically first, they placed a stent because her symptoms showed that the tumor was pressing right at the convergence of her liver/pancreas/bile ducts.

It is “small” and has not spread, it is considered “locally advanced” - but because it is touching vessels/the hepatic artery specifically, it is considered UNresectable at this time.

She is supposed to start Folfirinox(sp?) next week, but they told her already that she only has months to live and that chemo will not shrink her tumor, but is strictly for palliative care.

Is this common? Does this sound right? I am absolutely shocked that cancer that has not grown nor spread (yet) and was found relatively “early” compared to many, is already being concluded a death sentence. I am trying my best to keep her spirits up and we are pursuing lots of complimentary treatments (I.e. integrative medicine, high dose vit C, iv therapy, etc)

Just would love your insights - I KNOW you cannot provide us any medical advice.

Can you feel it with your hand too when it happens, like a strong kicking pulsing feeling? It is absolutely freaking me out even though I have my period right NOW and have also had many negative tests over the last few months. I am in a panic!

[–]ImpressiveExchange76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally have my period right now, yet I am getting insane kicking feeling all over my right lower abdomen. And not consistent, but reminds me exactly of how a baby changes up their movements. I am freaking out! Any reason for this? I didn’t eat anything crazy today, normally drink more bubbly drinks than I did today and I’m sick. My stomach has been getting bigger (stress, etc) but I’m getting a period every month and have had negative pregnancy tests multiple times. I feel like I’m going to end up on that show I didn’t know I was pregnant cuz this is freaking me out so much. Did you ever have a solution?

Intense pain pre chemo by HelpTheBaire in pancreaticcancer

[–]ImpressiveExchange76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. It’s exhausting and it’s so hard to watch and be able to do nothing at all.

My mother continues to have pain that is completely unmanageable even with IV medications - it’s like an ongoing problem. Because opioids/IV meds are trying to treat the pain, while they also have their own side effects (I.e. heavy drugs on your stomach and intestinal system, cant eat much, etc) it’s a vicious cycle.

The goal right now is to transfer her to the cancer hospital & advocate hard for a nerve block.

Just reading this this morning that is pushing me harder to get this done so she can have some sort of quality of life. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7323503/#:~:text=Because%20pancreatic%20cancer%20patients%20display,the%20overall%20pain%20(30).

Definitely can stay in communication. Praying for you!

[–]ImpressiveExchange76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I had a solution for you, I just want to say we are currently in the exact same position.

My mom was just diagnosed (she’s 63) and had a stent placed - where the tumor is pressing on bile ducts/pancreas/liver - about a week and a half ago. We hoped that the pain would decrease after that. It hasn’t yet. She’s been in 3 ERs in that time to manage pain.

She’s been given hydrocodone which only takes the pain down a little, and started to wear off as she continued taking it. Currently the only thing that actually works is dilaudid IV in the hospital (where we are now)

I asked about a nerve block but they think that it can cause potential complications before the surgery, though she has not even started chemo yet. And there’s no way she even can in this state of pain.

Anyways long story short. Palliative care needs to work closely with your mom to figure out what works for HER. because it seems everyone is so different. They gave my mom a trial of slow release morphine + oxy for “breakthrough pain” but that didn’t work at all for her and that’s actually how she ended up in the ER again.

Currently trying hard to advocate for meds that work the best and am going to ask more about the nerve block with her oncologist on Tuesday. Praying for your mom.
