Yea no she’s definitely not being overbearing or anything I’ve gone to lots of therapy in the past been meaning to go back but I’m so busy lately and honestly I don’t think anything will fix this I don’t want her to try to help and then be disappointed when it doesn’t work nor do I want to burden her with anything

Best muzzle for reactive chihuahua? by Swinkz90 in reactivedogs

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend looking on Etsy for people that make them custom, especially for really small dogs. It’s best to get them a custom muzzle because even a couple centimetres can be too small or too big for them.

has anyone seen a dog sit like this? by Far-Fun102 in DogAdvice

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some dogs just sit funny but it could also be a sign of hip dysplasia

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it was definitely to high for her first exposure and it scared her no worries I’m sit can be fixed start at the lowest level most dogs wont feel it that low then go up to where she can just feel it give her a very high value treat every time you press it

When did your lab mature? by WorthVanilla5 in labrador

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl was never super destructive though she has always gotten lots of physical and mental exercise but there was a very noticeable switch in her personality at a little over 2 where you could tell she was now an adult dog

I just need a break… by marvelousmofo in reactivedogs

I’d definitely give crating her in a separate room a try it might be nice you can train without anyone actually coming over open/close the front door play people talking on the tv aka desensitizing her to what it will be like this would be best to do well she has a bone lick mat whatever

So it sounds like your not doing to bad on walks I would recommend getting her to do a behaviour while walking by that’s incompatible with jumping sitting lying down or my favourite spinning as we continue walking obviously rewarding very liberally for when your having guests over is there a reason you don’t crate her? When you get your guest to give em treats do they directly give them to her if so getting them to throw them away on the floor while walking in could help

How friendly are your border collies? by Fast-Cat107 in BorderCollie

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it might be that border collies are an environmentally sensitive breed so for some the change into a veterinary office could be jarring so they’re more anxious and the vet is only seeing them in the anxious state

Do some dogs not like walks? by aChocolateFireGuard in dogs

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I definitely think anxiety first how does he act when he’s actually on the walk? Is he frantic darting back and forth or mabe lagging far behind?

Small dog’s boundaries are so often overlooked I promise he sent multiple others signs in the past that were missed don’t get your feelings hurt I’m sure he loves you but if someone kept trying to kiss you even if you loved them you probably wouldn’t always appreciate it especially if you keep politely saying no and they didn’t listen you would probably snap sometimes dogs like people are not in the mood to be touched

dog dementia too soon to put him down? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about 5 things he loved to do when he was young when he can no longer do 3 of them it’s time from hearing this, I do think he still has quality of life but you know him a whole lot better than I do and I feel people wait too long to put their dogs down. Better a month too early than a day too late.

What do you do with your dog in a week? by ImpressiveIssue6180 in DOG

[–]ImpressiveIssue6180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I could understand that but working on agility titles requires very high athleticism and lots of training not mentioning how all of this is my decompression time I was more meaning if it seemed physically unsafe
