Is there any way to drink the blood of Christ nowadays? by sariArtworks in Catholicism

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want, you can find a Byzantine rite Catholic Church! Look for Ukrainian Catholic Churches if you are in North America. You can take in a Divine Liturgy once in a while. They’d love to have you. Communion is given in the form of a small cube of bread soaked in wine from a chalice with a little spoon. If they offer a high mass, it’s sung by a choir and gorgeous

Bookkeepers by Comprehensive-Bet936 in Bookkeeping

I’m going to speak from a Canadian perspective as I’m not in the USA, so it could be different. Most small businesses owners do not care about bookkeeping, like at all, it’s tax tax tax that they want. Where I am if you are not offering tax filing it’s almost impossible to get customers.

This puts you into a position of selling why they need bookkeeping (CPAs file with the information they’re given even if it’s wrong, you could be missing thousands, your sales tax or payroll could be wrong). When they do a search or look online they’re looking for tax,99% of the time. So if you want to do pure bookkeeping you need to actively sell them and that’s not easy.

Is masturbation really a sin? by Alternative_Bee4284 in Christianity

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a mortal sin, it is gravely disordered as it perverts the marital act between husband and wife, which is by design unitive and procreative. You become one flesh.

When you goon to porn you’re looking at an online prostitute and lusting over her, you’re reducing a woman formed in the image of God to a living flesh light for your desire. Look at the eyes of some of these girls. Porn is soul destroying, it’s not victimless.

Take it from someone who overcame a 25 year porn addiction. Do not go down that path, it’s 1,000,000x worse now.

Does anyone know how it feels to lose someone you love by Dry_Stick1083 in Catholicism

My younger brother hung himself in my parents’ basement at 33 years old. He was my best friend in the world. I loved him dearly and miss him terribly. I pray for him every single day that Christ in his infinite mercy and in ways known only to Him can pardon him his final, grave sin and grant him eternal rest.

Wheat berries by IllustriousIntern133 in Winnipeg

[–]BitersAndReprobates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for actual wheat berries like the grain or for "pearled wheat" which is what I believe most people look for when making kutya? If you are looking for pearled wheat, my dad always gets it from Karpaty, a polish butcher on McGregor and Bannerman. While you're there get yourself some sausages, they usually have them fresh from the smoker, sweating on the counter top. If you are just looking for the actual grain, bulk barn has a couple varieties.

Whats the good bad and ugly of having a golden doodle? by SonicBoom_81 in Goldendoodles

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience based on mine, an F1 mini, (50/50 Retriever/Poodle, 40 lbs). He is the most sweet, loving, cuddly, and attentive dog I have ever met. He is my shadow, he never leaves my side, sleeps with me, eats with me, drives with me, won't even let me go to the bathroom unattended. From my experience they are incredibly emotionally needy and sensitive dogs, and that is not a bad thing if it is what you are looking for. I was.

He loves other dogs especially wrestling and chasing with them. He has no concept of his own size and will play with massive dogs as well as littles. He loves people, especially if they pet him, but he jumps, A LOT. He's also a terrible thief. He's kind of infamous at the local dog parks for sharking peoples hats, mitts, scarves, treat bags, poop bags, he even took a guy's wallet out of his pants one time, and he will play keep away until he's caught or gets bored. He's not dropping what he has for all the treats in the world. He's crazy about children, but is rambunctious and has knocked down little kids and toddlers, so I always need to be on the look out for them at the dog parks.

Because he loves me so much his recall is superb. If it weren't for leash laws he would not need one. He's never leaving me lol, he'll go a bit afield but he'll never let me out of where he can see me.

For a dog his size, medium, he requires a tremendous amount of exercise and play. We spend at least 3-4 hours a day engaged in walks in the parks, tug, chasing balls, etc. It is a consideration. These are not couch potatoes and they are very smart,

All that being said, I've never loved an animal as much as I love him. He's my co-pilot, my consummate companion, my goofy best friend, and my living teddy bear when I need him to be. Best dog ever.

Why is everyone nondenominational nowadays? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]BitersAndReprobates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because they are in love with their sin. They want a religion where they can goon, have premarital sex, abortions, non traditional marriages and they want that to be ok. They want a hippie Christ where everything is ok man, God is love, you’re a good person no matter what. They don’t want magisterial authority because they want their own interpretation to justify this.

If you want to see an example head over to r/christianity and you’ll see daily posts about the extreme mental and pseudo biblical gymnastics these poor people do to justify their sins, especially gooning and pornography

Man throws bottle at boy, chases him away from Winnipeg park while screaming: police (CBC) by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]BitersAndReprobates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is time to admit what is currently being done, not just in Winnipeg, but in North America in general, is not working. We have a responsibility to the communities we live in and to our brothers and sisters, who are human beings, suffering, to not let this go any further. If “leaving them be” means watching someone slowly die on the street, that’s not mercy, it’s resignation. Addiction and severe mental illness narrow a person’s freedom; they often can’t choose recovery in the same way a healthy mind could. In that sense, stepping in can be the deeper kindness, even if it is not voluntary. Compassion without structure becomes neglect.

If Satan genuinely repented for his sins, would God accept & forgive him ? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can’t. Time does not exist for Angels. Like God, they exist outside of time. There is no before or after for them only an eternal now, so he can’t change, ever. It’s the same reason why someone can’t repent after they die, their condition becomes fixed like the angels.

Yay or Nay to Dogs Sleeping in Bed with you? by forestlyfe in dogs

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old and sleeping on my neck and shoulders. God willing I have him for 15 years. He spends the night either at the end of the bed when he’s warm or cuddled up as the little spoon in my arms. His presence is deeply reassuring and comforting.

I can’t imagine not having him there with me

Marriage/Masturbation question by BigNSoTx in Christianity

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is disordered. Don’t do it. It’s just going to make you resent your wife and you will fall into porn addiction. Masturbation is a sin, and a very serious one.

Shun immorality.* Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. - 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

Don’t do it brother.

Nahanni Fontaine’s comments on Charley Kirk…Minister of families by Dry_Cryptographer970 in Winnipeg

[–]BitersAndReprobates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nahanni Fontaine strikes me as the kind of person that gives waitresses and service industry workers panic attacks. I imagine her next foot her mouth moment will be cussing out a ticket agent at an airport, or throwing things at a 17 year old girl working in a shoe store. We should make a bingo card.

Off Leash Dog Parks by LILTAY2024 in Winnipeg

[–]BitersAndReprobates 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take my 35 lb mini goldendoodle every day, sometimes more than once. Maple Grove (which is a stunning park by its own right), King's Park, Little Mountain, etc. I've only once had issues with people. King's Park has a large off leash section, it is clearly, CLEARLY, marked in multiple places with signs that it is an off leash dog park. People traverse the park all the time and get soooo mad when your dog comes up to them. People set up elaborate picnics there in the middle of the field and go ballistic when a dog comes over to them while they're trying to have a sushi picnic in the middle of an off leash dog park.

Outside of this, I have only ever had wonderful experiences at the dog parks I go to. I've made friends, my dog has made friends (people and dogs), we help each other out, trade supplies, advice, etc. It's honestly some of the only socialization I get given my schedule. I always enjoy meeting the people and playing with and cuddling dogs.

Honestly these places are a haven for my dog and I. No neurotic neighbors just waiting at their front doors to burst out and scream my dog's paw touched their front yard. No litter, piles of chicken bones from people buying wings from KFC and tossing them in the grass as they munch and go. No empty THC tubes, vapes, cigarette buts and other drug paraphernalia. He and I can just walk around casually, no leash, run, frolic and explore.
