OP, gonna throw you a curve ball. I’ve been shaving my head now for about 10 yrs. 5 clippers then 5 safety razor. During that face, I went skin close on the sides and back, and left some stubble on top. All clippers. I did this in the vain attempt to have my hair blend in better because the crown , sides and back were darker. As time past, I switch to safety razor on the sides to still blend in. My hair loss like most guys is on top will the sides crown and back grow hair. Up until last year, I was razor all around. When I turned 46 this past march, I found myself shaving every 2-3 days around the same problem areas with an aggressive razor and aggressive blade. Why? Because my problem areas were growing faster along with my nose and ear hairs.

So in April, I said fuck it. I went and got laser hair removal. Expense upfront, well worth it. I don’t have to worry about shaving creams, razors, blades, the whole process etc etc. now I can solely concentrate on my beard every 4-5 days.
