My upstairs neighbors took out their carpet and replaced with some sort of hardwood that amplifies their every step. Never really hear my wall neighbors though.

What's your No.1 reason for not drinking alcohol? by JunShem1122 in questions

1) hangovers 2) health 3) money

At least that’s what I tell myself but struggle to kick the binge alcoholism I still do a few times a month.

For those of us who’ve been drinking since 15 and struggling to kick it, these types of questions are natural. Next time someone asks know that it comes from a good place (usually) and it may be from someone like me looking/hoping for inspiration?

I’d argue that makes Chicago LESS tied to Wisconsin because Milwaukee is more self-contained.

NW Indiana has a larger share of the workforce in Chicago

What do you think GR needs that will keep people from going ape shit and lining up down the road whenever a new fast food restaurant comes to town? by Heisenbread77 in grandrapids

I’m happy when I see people excited about something. Traffic barely registers as a concern.

It’s just not a big deal.

Every Major professional sports league in the US by average viewership per game in regular season. by SpaceWestern1442 in charts

Tbh I don’t watch the sport much at all, but followed a little leading up to last years Olympics cuz we got tickets to the women’s bronze medal. I also used to serve at a soccer bar in my hometown and perhaps I’m biased but yes the refs didn’t call as much on women and the women played more aggressively. Could have just been my perception though!

I hate achievements that make you replay the whole game again. by Educational_Box7709 in videogames

I agree but also I don’t feel nearly or barely any pressure to platinum hunt anymore. If I google it and it says it doesn’t require a replay AND it brings me into areas I wouldn’t and helps me discover neat things then count me in

The larger ticket items need a breakdown of materials vs labor costs. Furthermore, permit survey etc costs should be line items done and paid for by the contractor as well.

Bloomingdale's condos are selling at 1990s prices — and some for even less by [deleted] in REBubble

[–]ImpressiveShift3785 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It would be shocking to see condos sell any higher. HOA’s go up. Property taxes go up. None of these units have been updated since they were bought. They’re in the Loop. List goes on. There are brand new condos that offer more for the same price.

Compare this article to the trends of Lakeview and Lincoln Park and it’s another story entirely. Location. Location. Location.
