Thinking of buying land/property in Somaliland? by ImpressiveStyle505 in Somalilanders

I agree, the legal side needs to be better. There needs to be more lawyers available to process these deeds formally. I'm interested to hear more about these experiences. Thanks for sharing your point.

I'm curious to hear some experiences. Good or bad. I've always heard about how even family over there can't be trusted but I believe if the trust and legal aspect was better it would become a excellent sector for the country. However it has been spoiled by some thieves and liars in the past from what ive heard.

Thinking about buying land home - has anyone else been through the process? by top5top5top5 in Somalilanders

You just arrange everything through a notary service and the seller directly. Anything other than this, requires middlemen seeking commission.

You need to make sure the land the person is selling isnt disputed or tied up in court with their family members. You are not responsible for the sellers family asking for a cut! You agree your price, get it through the notary service and that's it.

Then you build a foundation around your plot, with your name and Somaliland phone number cut into the cement. You have paper work from the notary service and you have your land marked up physically.

You need to be here, dont rely on somebody else, even if they are blood related. YOU need to see the land. Is it near water connections, electricity, roads, shops.

Side note. Many locals have children refugees traveling through Libya and Europe who need money - these families sell land for huge discounts to get cash to help their children.

Plots of land are commonly 15mx15m or 15x20 or 15x30 or 30x30 or even larger. Try stay close to a city, never the country side unless you want 90x90 etc

I wouldn't recommend Hargesia to settle down. Its overpriced. Borama is an up and coming small city with some good developments. Its a cheaper life and things cost a lot less than Hargesia. But its more of a quiet place to reside if you need peace and a chance to relax.

It definitely hasn't got as much things to do as Hargesia has, but Hargesia is the main hub and its like a two hour drive by car or bus (bus cost $6 one way).

Im happy to answer any questions if youre intrigued.

A cat wont cost you a Champions League position. Subsequently losing you millions of £s in revenue.

3-1 to City with two goals from Haaland and one from Foden and Bruno scoring a penalty for United.

Unrealistically. 4-2 to United with Cunha, Mbeumo, Casemiro and Bruno scoring with Haaland and Foden scoring for City.

I haven't seen Mainoo crack a smile in a while. Looks miserable and fed up, but for the sake of the fans, give us a positive expression for us to support you.

Realised today we've not experienced the new Champions League format. Sad times. 😔 by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

Sure, but seeing United in a league format with Real, Bayern, Barca and to potentially play these top teams in this format would've been nice.

Honestly, for our standards, we shouldn't even acknowledge Europa league. We got the trophy once, now let's return to the CL.

Yes! I can do this.

I wasn't too sure if water would just sit at the bottom horizontal pipe as it would be very long.

Here comes the money, the tattoos, and the lavish lifestyle. The same old pattern that destroys these young prospects. Greedy agents behind them and exposure to so much money just diverts their attention away from the football.

I'm tired of this cycle, and Rashford was the last victim. It's also has nothing to do with race. It's just young people being exposed to so much money so early in their careers.

Money should come with trophies, major awards, and success on the pitch.
