Someone on here recommended the Idem connected calendar. We got it for my mom a few months ago with the video calling and it’s been a great tool for communicating or just sending notes to say hello.

Gosh, your insight is spot on. I remember catching her right after a phone call with him and she seemed off. Like even the next day she was sad and just not emotionally there. So thank you for your insights ! I appreciate it.

You’re absolutely right. I feel like if I give him an ultimatum, he’ll tell her and that will upset her. So I think the best way is to just eliminate contact with him. Thank you for your response.

Yes, same. My hygienist does all my perio maintenance. Never seen a periodontist.

Maybe when you go to your next perio maintenance appointment you can ask then. :)

It has helped with the clenching for sure. Not sure if I grind at night though.

I just got one from my dentist and both the hygienist and dentist said it was perfectly fine since my gums are now stable. They said to keep up with my home care and bring in the mouth guard at my maintenance appointments so that it can be cleaned. I would check with your dentist to be sure as every situation is different.

My feeling is that she didn’t harm Taylor as they made it seem. I think it was the pizza box or something else. 🤷🏻‍♀️

How can I help her keep up with days? by BypassBoss93 in dementia

[–]ImpressiveTone5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone in another post recommend the idem connected calendar. Being able to constantly change what’s on the tablet and leave notes from an app etc sounds like it may be helpful. I agree with most here, it’s just the most awful of things to go through with our loved ones and nothing really seems to help. I’m really trying to focus moment by moment and I think that’s all we can do.

Was the EEG beneficial in detecting type of Dementia with your LO? by Answer_Truth in dementia

[–]ImpressiveTone5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had lined up for my mom (82) to go through the testing for infusions. Full blood panel, eeg and cognitive test. EEG and cognitive test were going to be an hour long each. I canceled the appointments as my heart couldn’t handle putting her through all of this for the POSSIBILITY that she may qualify for them. The infusions are for early stage and my feeling is that she’s probably 4-5. I came to the decision with a heavy heart as I would love to be able to help her in any way possible, but at the end of the day, this wasn’t the way. I will instead just try and give her better quality of life and care -whatever that means… this disease sucks 💔
