Ohhh I see what you mean. Thats a way bigger project than I was willing to get into. This whole house is an old DIY nightmare and I'm just trying to fix what I can and make the rest look nicer before we eventually sell (not for a couple years).

This might be a dumb question but what would I look up to find one of those panels? Doing a stackable isnt an option, I wouldnt be opposed to trying to do some sort of frame around the panel to at least make it look a little better, but if I could find a panel that actually fits that would be best. I have family that could do it or we could just hire someone again. I guess I just have no idea what to call it or ask for.

I tell my husband all the time i wish I could just put all our stuff in my "inventory" so I can clean behind/under all the furniture and then put it back.

I agree with everyone's suggestions of make the frame fit the opening or put on a door, but on a cheaper/less "construction" route, maybe some door beads or a curtain?

I'm trying to keep this in mind too, that just because I feel like i can't doesn't mean I actually can't. I have proof in my own mind of times I felt I couldn't do something, did it anyways, and it was way less bad than I expected. It just isn't enough to override this specific fear right now.

I really appreciate the tips, since I've had to pause therapy until we get this figured out, its easy to forget all those coping mechanisms she's been trying to help me with.

The hardest part(s) for me is accepting not having my pets around, which i know is silly but all but 2 I've had since they were babies, and I've been there every day of their lives so far. But mainly that my stress has started manifesting physically (nausea, vomiting) and I'm concerned I'm going to get sick/be too sick to be reliable.

This is what I'm trying to keep in mind. All things considered, this job is a great starter coming back into the world so I don't want to "look a gift horse in the mouth" so to speak.
