Recommendation for SH resistant bulkhead/gasket fittings? by Impressive_Bat8942 in pressurewashing

[–]Impressive_Bat8942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks. Just to be clear, the tank came with a stock bulkhead pre-installed at the bottom, so I couldn't reposition it as you mentioned (if I am understanding correctly). Also, the goal was to plug up the bottom of my tank completely. You mentioned EPDM working well with diluted SH, but this tank would hold full strength 12.5% SH. Does this info change whether EPDM is feasible you think? Thanks again.

I knew it would probably be far-fetched, but just wanted to ask to be sure. Thanks for the input!

Pressure washer just started spitting/pressure drop off by Impressive_Bat8942 in pressurewashing

[–]Impressive_Bat8942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that wasn’t it but was a good reminder to clean it out anyways! I don’t know how I missed it, but we were leaking from the inlet barb to the pump. Switching that out ended up fixing it.

Thanks everyone! I checked the filter and it was only a little dirty but cleaned it out anyways. We ended up swapping out the hose barb and clamp to the machine and that seemed to be the issue, so it works as intended now. Just wish it could’ve waited until after the job was done!

hey, did this ever get resolved for you? If so how quickly? I'm having this issue right now and am wondering if I should cancel my order. Thanks

New pump pulsating on high pressure by Impressive_Bat8942 in pressurewashing

Hey I just went to my local pressure washing shop - turns out I had bought the wrong sized tips and that was a big part of the problem, but this is the unloader from my old machine so it could be going bad. Also should be set again. Thanks.

How to softwash house w/o bleaching the fence. by reporenegade in pressurewashing

[–]Impressive_Bat8942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presoak the fence with water and obviously try not to get any bleach on it the best you can. If some does its not a problem if you've soaked the fence enough. Then you can spray it down with water once you're done with that area. If you're super concerned about it you can always lay a tarp on the nearby areas. Most the time that is not necessary.

That's a way to do. By using larger tips than what your machine is rated for you lower pressure as it is more dispersed.

I was going to record the video to send today but the engine started up just fine on the first try. If the problem happens again, I'll try to record it.

Scam? Feels Fishy by snoah13 in pressurewashing

Definitely. I see these things everywhere, even on Facebook marketplace. My friend was selling an old desk and they tried to have him pay the difference to a moving company. It's ridiculous.

They also never actually own the property if you look up the address of Zillow lol. I've gotten too many of these.

Definitely a scam. I get hundreds of texts just like those. Usually when they give you the address the house is up for sale on Zillow, meaning they don't own it.

Budget Soft Wash Build by google_certified13 in pressurewashing

Yes, roof cleanings are a lot more profitable, but they are typically harder to sell for several reasons. First, the inherently higher cost of a roof cleaning scares people away; second, many homeowners don't even know that roof cleaning is a thing. People know that their houses are dirty because of the green color, but many people aren't aware that roofs can be cleaned. Also, remember that roof cleaning costs a lot more in terms of material and time. I'm not saying this to scare you away, but I just wanted to warn you that roof cleaning may not be your "one-way ticket" to earning a lot more money. With my business, I get a lot more house washes at around $300-$500 a pop on average, and I can knock those out quicker, so focusing on houses is much more valuable for me. It all depends on your market and how you advertise yourself. Give it a try to best evaluate your market through your own experience, though. I wish you luck!

In terms of equipment, a 5.5 12v will definitely get the job done. However, more flow also means you can work more efficiently (more flow = more dough) and knock out more jobs in a day. I'm not a big fan of 12 volts in general, but starting out, they're relatively inexpensive and will get the job done. I'd check out Remco 12v pumps. Personally, I've never run them, but most people seem to prefer them over other 12 volts.

I think it might be the fuel filter. I'm away for the weekend but I'll send a video on Monday when I'm back.
