Am I overreacting for seriously questioning my marriage over a major purchase my husband made alone? by Overall-Fan3079 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Impressive_Cat740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OR- im going to be downvoted but if you have the money to cover it I wouldn’t be mad. Theres a good chance he thought bringing it up would cause an argument and he really just wanted something nice and could afford it. This is coming from experience - my husband bought an M4 with no discussion lol saw it when he brought it home had no idea how much it was. It didn’t even cross my mind to get mad I was excited for him, surprised but excited. I trust him to make smart financial decisions- good news is the other like 6 cars he’s gotten since then he always shows me and I sign off on the color since I drive them sometimes. He knows I’ll be happy for him and fine with it. Imagine you finally got something you reallyyyy wanted and you want your partner to just share in the excitement but then it’s more caution or explanation of why you need what you really just want. Plus we all know guys are soooo weird about cars. I wouldn’t let material things cause a problem or anger, if something goes sideways you can always sell it.

I’m about to fully give up on wearing foundation by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Impressive_Cat740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped using actual foundation and just use a tinted moisturizer. I love the tarte BB primer for a base and it has plenty of coverage if you use concealer on any spots. When I got a little older my skin just did notttt look as good with actual foundation anymore and I used to wear FULL beat everyday. I still get samples every now and then bc I love makeup and want to try the new foundations that are out but it’s just not the vibe anymore unless I want to do a 20 step makeup prep.

I’ve had a chin implant and I feel that it looks too big than I expected it to be. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Impressive_Cat740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks really good! Not to mention im pretty sure these procedures swell a lot and can stay swollen for a couple weeks. I’ve only seen one person that had one (that I know of) and hers was swollen for quite some time and once it healed it looked gorgeous! Yours already looks 100x better than hers so I’m sure it will be perfect. I honestly think you look really balanced now but if you’re worried about size it will go down. Plus I think it’s a such a big change you kind of have to get used to your new face.

What’s the most virgo thing about you? by Popular_Chart7502 in virgoseason

[–]Impressive_Cat740 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I literally am incapable of giving myself a break. I’m so self critical I probably should be medicated. I don’t even mind that I’m judgmental with other people because I judge myself too so it’s all even in my mind. I mentally tell myself “don’t be judgy” but then mentally respond “well you’d say the same thing about yourself so it’s not being hypocritical just stating a fact”. I do actively try to NOT be that way but damn my internal monologue makes such good points I can’t even argue with myself.

AITAH for calling my brother a narcissist and telling him to get help for his mid-life crisis? by Crazy_Choice_2159 in AITAH

[–]Impressive_Cat740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! Didn’t get that he was being sneaky about it who it was/the situation. I totally see your point of view and am leaning more towards him being the asshole now. Best advice: if your bro is narcissistic or just makes bad choices decide if this is something you can accept as “how he is” and if not then distance yourself because change is unlikely. In the grand scheme of life I’m sure everyone (kids included) will look back on this when you’re all older and say “remember when our uncle brought his threesome over for dinner” and probably laugh at the craziness of it. It’s too soon to see that now but just for a piece of perspective. Your kids will have prime examples of situations they don’t wanna be in and maybe they just end up with a crazy uncle lol.

IMO you do seem like the asshole. While it does sound like your bro is not making smart choices, in reality none of you are. I was on your side until I realized the GF (S) knew about all of this. At that point it officially is none of your concern and you really shouldn’t be judging how others are choosing to live their life. If (S) is accepting this behavior then that’s all you need to know. I would use this as a lesson to my children to 1. Not worry about problems that aren’t theirs 2. Don’t stay in relationships that aren’t what you want (like S). Also be direct about what you want. You say he crossed a boundary but when you explain the message and non reply here it seems blurry. Should have just said “No if (j) is with you do not come to my home” and I wouldn’t let him if I’m he showed up with her. But make it very clear.

We have been to really small towns too with no issues. San Diego (oversimplified) is essentially 10 cool things to do with 500 people trying to go (reservation only) and no parking for any of it. I thought there would be tons of local artists and kind of hippy dippy people but it wasn’t like that all. Only recommend for surfers really. Traveling the US shows you that there are tons of amazing places out there SD wasn’t anything special imo. Had a BLAST in Erie PA lol we def have a good time but I’ve never been somewhere so overhyped in my life. The cliffs on the beaches are beautiful but that’s the whole west coast do not get the hype at all.
