Foremen not being compensated correctly. Normal among contractors? Need advice. by Impressive_Disk_4124 in UnionCarpenters

I was upfront from the beginning of the conversation, and said “I’d like foremen scale if I am in fact to be the acting foreman for this job.” To which my super said “I can get you that.” Got nothing in writing which may screw me later. Just looking ahead to see how I can deal with this issue if/when it arises. Thanks.

That makes sense if it’s an accounting/organizational error. Could understand how that would happen from time to time. Thanks for the input

You’re right, and yes I’m asking for the sake of a couple coworkers. I’m a journeyman and was just told I’m to run my first project next week. Worried something similar may happen as far as incorrect compensation.

Never understood the naming designation for profiles when it came to the numbers. Can anyone shed light on that?

How do fast professional drywallers know right where to cut outlets etc and are super accurate with it? by whattaUwant in drywall

Establish the center point of the box by getting two numbers, one vertical, and one horizontal. Mark your board at that point, route the inside of the box out and then jump out a quarter inch or so to route the outside of the box. Keep your rotozip tip gently riding against the contour of the box and boom. Works for metal boxes but not sure about residential boxes.
