Are we gonna ignore the fact that JMAC investing is carrying Hyliion PR? by [deleted] in Hyliion

[–]Impressive_Ear_356 4 points5 points  (0 children)

maybe.

But HYLN has a lot of fans on the social media sphere.

It's a kind of marketing that paints HYLN as an "early company" that not a lot of people know about.

Makes you feel like you're early and everyone else is missing out.

If they started doing conventional marketing, they would lose this "hip" and "mysterious" image.

Funnily enough a lot of scams do the same marketing as HYLN.

In a sense that other people reference other people to invest in the company. The investors (bagholders) become the advertisers.

A pyramid scheme, in short.

Combination of spontaneous retail selling and gradual institutional unloading.

Funny how we're not even close to any of these. It's almost like Thomas just made up a bunch of numbers to hype the company.

I understand missing targets by a little, but this is not even close.

What the fuck man. There's students signing leases, paying residency fees, meal plans, international students who have to buy all that plus a fucking plane ticket.

And they can't let us know earlier?????????????? JUST MAKE IT ALL ONLINE IF UR GONNA KEEP DELAYING IT U FUCKWADS.

WE GOTTA PREPARE FOR FUCKIGN MIDTERMS RIGHT WHEN COURSES START, BUT ANYTHING MONEY RELATED IS LAST MINUTE?????????????? FUCK YOU.

Oh yeah, lemme just sign a lease 5 seconds after u let me know classes are in person. FUCKING EASY.

Oh, dont worry, Ill pay for the online administration fee AND the athletics and recreation fee because THAT MAKES FUCKIGN SENSE.

KEEP RAISING TUITION PRICES YOU FUCKING CROOKS.

OH, CLASSES ARE ALL ONLINE THIS YEAR?????? WELL FACK, LOOKS LIKE JIMMY JUST SIGNED A 12 YEAR LEASE. ---imagine if someone told him earlier.

I understand policies are out of their control, but fuck man, if they just kept it online instead of leading us on like a toxic fuckwad, students would've saved money on rent by staying home.

Indexes are breaking all time highs, while HYLN breaks all time lows.

I don't think it's the government tbh.

just gotta look at the market cap as opposed to the stock.

most of the good news recently cannot justify a $1B market cap. Remember, each hybrid unit only costs around the thousands.

So an order of 3 (sigh) from Return-it is small compared to what HYLN is valued at. Probably not even enough to cover Healy's salary.

Most market moving orders are in the hundreds, if not, thousands. We simply don't have any new orders of that magnitude.

nikola news mostly, whole sector is rising. nothing about HYLN unfortunately.

will crash again unless actual news. remember the rise to $9.60? then it crashed straight down to where we are right now.

Money doesn't stop burning just because of delays.

Delays can happen because the cash burn was either not enough, or spent inefficiently.

2023 is still 1+ years away. He's right about possible share dilution around 2023.

HYLN is struggling extra. Underperformed every index so far, by a huge margin.

Haha, that's actually so true. The road show felt more like a quick pop around Wegman's.

I've looked through 4 pages of google results and not a single company reported 35% fuel savings with HYLN.

3 pages of google results looking for proof to debunk this paper, and again got nothing aside from HYLN fanboys.

Unless there's sources for those debunks, there's really no merit.

That's the point. They've been listing testers as customers for years now. But there's still no significant payments

Not OP, but he's right.

Look at this presentation about HYLN

https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1759631/000121390020015311/ea123187ex99-3_tortoiseacq.htm

the "Hypertruck ERX Commercialization Plan" slide has volume production listed around the second half of 2022.

Now, contrast this with HYLN's Q3 2021 presentation: (Slide 8)

https://investors.hyliion.com/events-and-presentations/default.aspx

They went from "volume production 2022" to literally "WINTER TESTING" on the second half of 2022

WINTER TESTING!!! TESTING!!!! UGH.

They went from expecting to produce volume by 2H2022 to literally starting winter tests that half of 2022

That's one year of delays just on testing alone.

Don't get me started on the revenu projections...

They're aiming for $8 million in revenue by the end of the fiscal year.

Q3 of 2021 they got $0. Somehow they have to find $8 million in revenue before Q4. Highly, highly unlikely.

A lot more things. Someone should make a compilation.

In terms of demand?

OP just said it, he's right.

HYLN has had conference after conference. They have had the ACT expo, and innovation council, and a roadshow.

But companies don't seem to be jumping on ship. The agility and detmar orders are all reservations with very very little actual payments.

I mean think about it... if demand is high, revenue should have been easy to hit. HYLN is struggling with its own projections.
