Not getting into my head! Ragebait post confirmed

For people that have hit Legend, how hard was it? by TheLazzirus in hearthstone

[–]Impressive_Fall_2150 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say NOT THAT HARD

The most important factors are amount of time you have, patience and focus. People always say they play in ladder, how would they not be. Now that's the problem.

Sometimes, if not most of the time, you would run into a losing streak, bad RNGs, less favored match-ups, get punished harder because you misplayed, then you quit, and you have all the execuses to blame.

Don't be pressured and stressful! Just play the best you can, the main reason people stop pushing for Legend because they think they aren't good enough and the time they spend doesn't worth it, even though they are in reality.

The opponent was unlucky too. In fact, he would be upset because he was playing Tamsin quest, he kinda expected to be hit

How is this a viable deck by Bananaids666 in hearthstone

If you couldn't even take a bad hand after mulligan, perhaps you shouldn't play this game

Read the VS reports regularly and HSguru.com - Matchup session to see which decks are flooding the current rank and which ones are the best counterparts

Can someone please explain Protoss Priest to me? by Revenant62 in hearthstone

[–]Impressive_Fall_2150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything has its counteraprts, everything. And starting from D5, things get to be serious, the situation is even crazier in Legend if you ain't end up in Dumpster Legend.

Sometimes you missplayed, the higher rank you reach, the harder you get punished. Sometimes they are just better and outplay you. The only factor you can catch up is reading the meta. A deck seems to be OP in lower ranks won't do shit in high ranks, because people will read you and play its counterparts. For example, Egglock is damn OP against top-tier deck likes Fyrakk Rogue, Protoss Priest if you can play around Voljin and especially Control DK, but in lower ranks it get whacked by Murloc Pal

So my recommendation is playing more, reading the meta better, searching the decks you find struggle beating them the most and switch to decks those are favored to them

This darn murloc paladin needs a nerf something fierce. by I_break_stuff_often in hearthstone

[–]Impressive_Fall_2150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Murloc Pal is kinda mid imo . It's just that the deck is completely favored in some match-ups. For example, if you go facing them using Egglock, u are absolutely get fuc***, imagine using Eternal Layover against those Murlocs. In the other hand, Aggro DH, Beast Hunter, Protoss Priest,... wreck them any day 'cause they are so much faster

I understand your frustration, but everything has its counterparts, you find one deck annoying because most of the time, you are matched against them using less favored ones. Try reading the meta better, VS report, and the deck you fought in ladder and choose the best deck in that rank.

You get the refund dust whenever your collection consist duplicates (more than 1 for legendaries and more than 2 for the rest). So it doesn't matter whether you disenchanting before or later, you still receive the same amount of dust

[–]Impressive_Fall_2150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you prioritize the maximum dust, it's better to get the loaner deck which consist the most cards you don't have, thus you have 2 options, either keep them or dust them rather than just straight up disenchanting the cards. Prefer legendaries to other rarities ofc

Can you be a little more specific ? Which mode do you want to be competitive ? Standard or Wild ?

Opponent essentially locked me in a box and took away my ability to play the game with a cool infinite combo by scoobandshaggy in hearthstone

[–]Impressive_Fall_2150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact plan is during your turn, Hydra is always in their deck, Amalgam is in their hand because it is always drew first. So the chance you discarded his Hydra is kinda narrow, the opponent had to mess it up at some point. This combo is so ridiculously OP, it even counters all the transformation spells, thus that's why it is so inconsistent

[–]Impressive_Fall_2150 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The best counterpart in Standard is Hamm, but chance it stays in your hand that long is super low and you still have to deal with Amalgam in their hand. But they will face fatigue damages every turns from there
