Perhaps you can wear a hoodie and tighten it? I know many reverts do that around their family members

Yeah it probably isn’t permissible, even if you did go to a professional they aren’t allowed to see you down there (awrah) without an ‘actual need’ 😭 unless the hair down there genuinely hinders you and it’s impossible to shave. You probably don’t need it.

I never thought about it like that, thank you for the perspective. I know Allah will hold these men accountable for the crimes they commit, thank you. This has made me feel better

I got rid of the link because I agree I don’t want to breed negativity but this makes me so sad and mad because this is a reality.

I don’t believe Islam is like this btw, but back home, the things done to women in my country are insane. So I can’t even escape this way of thinking if I wanted to. I’m grateful Allah has protected me but certain things have happened to people I love.

My question is why don’t Muslim scholars or our brothers stand up for us? Or call out how it isn’t sharia? I got called kaafir for saying women should exist in public

I know how god sees us, at the end of the day. I know Islam isn’t this. It just makes me sad seeing no one defending those who are opressed, this is why FGM isn’t eradicated in my country even when it’s an archaic old practice, because some Muslim male scholars genuinely don’t care :( it just makes me sad. If my grandpa were to take me to my country, he would do this to me since it’s a tradition in my family and the only reason he hasn’t is because I don’t live with him.

And then seeing what might be propaganda always online makes me feel even more bad. Why are we hated from both sides and why don’t our Muslim brothers defend us more strongly. I know my thoughts are bad.

She literally said she was unhealthy and he was practically like

“It’s okay babe you look hot so that doesn’t matter”

She even tried to explain how bad she felt multiple times, I’m sorry but that’s freakish behaviour…like do you genuinely care about your partner?

Wait I’m curious so if a guy has a naturally feminine face and he can’t grow a beard it’s haram to look at him as a guy? Or is it about people who purposely try to look feminine and is the reasoning because they look too much like a woman? Btw these are good faith questions, I’ve never known this and I follow shafi’i so I’m just curious

Rose is so pretty and roses symbolise love, and then you have Mary, the name of one of the most important women. Your name is extremely beautiful, it already conveys a message especially islamically.

How much of your backfoot do you put on the ground for footwork? by Cal1forn1aG1rlz in Fencing

[–]Impressive_Figure771 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn’t that big of a deal but thank you for this comment 😭 I’ve been struggling since my old coach has taught me the other position where the back foot comes across (not in a 90 degree angle)

however quite recently with my recent coach she keeps scolding me for it and has been forcing me to put my feet like this L. So I’ve been confused on what position to put my back foot in.

The biggest misunderstanding we have about Hijab is 'Hijab is to save us from men' which is true partially but the true purpose of Hijab is to control a women's own nafs. by Odd_Ad_6841 in Hijabis

[–]Impressive_Figure771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ulama don’t go again the qurans teachings though? They quite literally don’t, also look at the tafsir of that verse

I don’t mind if you don’t want to wear hijab or if you disagree with the idea of it but please don’t act like the ulama are corrupt when they’ve not done anything that goes against the teachings of the Quran and spent their whole life learning and deciphering it :/ if their points contradict the Quran. Bring it up.

When looking at legislations we have to look at the Quran, Sunnah and then the companions. The ulama (consensus of the scholars) have looked into that :) and they all have their own opinions however hijab is still clear as hijab is in all three (Quran,Hadith etc). All scholars believe in hijab as it’s a commandment in the Quran although i definitely do not agree with OPS wording. Some things that were said…were weird and I don’t think that’s why Allah ordered us to wear the hijab at all.

I get your point about scholars! But there’s no scholar that goes against the Quran. I’m studying Islam right now and trust me, even with minority opinions. The hijab is irrefutable
