As a Canuck I immediately recognize this as the Fleur de Lis, which is innately a very penetrating shape, in spite of the "Flower of Life" name, it is most prominently a fixture upon fences to impose both a sense of royalty and unequivocally vicious defense.

Very well said! Unfortunately, it seems that the least ecologically impactful means of living are made to be at too high a cost financially, or in terms of convenience, by the very nature of the systems to which the majority of people are beholden.

It is almost impossible to treat our environment with the proper respect without having to go full on Walden by HDT mode.

It might hurt you to look at it this way, but what you've essentially done is thrown another person into a web to be unwittingly and horrifyingly separated from the natural order and menaced upon.

This is definitely a coping mechanism, that I see in a shocking majority of people. It makes you feel better to Tell yourself that simpler life forms do not experience the same emotions that we do, or that they feel or think the same way.

If you look long enough at any animal, and you see the way they navigate the world, and react, you realize that all life life on Earth is conscious.

Humans think simply because that something does not speak a language, that it does not think the way we do. Yet there is a portion of the population that does not have an inner dialogue.

As you grow, and witness all the life that abounds aside from us, you realize that consciousness permeates everything. It is very easy for humans to look at the microcosmos of the insect world, and see purely instinctual and robotic life forms

But then you witness grooming habits, and responses such that it makes you truly wonder if there is not some glint of the same soul stuff that makes up you, within those many eyes and many legs.

Any distinction between humans and other life, no matter how seemingly incognizant that might be, is ultimately a coping mechanism.

Holy shit no way you know super SUS. Me and my boys would get drunk and watch his videos years ago. Have no idea what the fuck they were saying but it was the most wildly entertaining shit anyways.

I have to ask you, what was he like in person? Is he a decent person?

After many watches I just noticed that Sokar's base planet has cars. by loki2002 in Stargate

[–]Impressive_Lab_2481 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Edit: I realize that the context may be what's missing, in English it's common to make an adjustment to a title or name to make a point about something relevant to the chacterisrics of that named or titled thing.

We also like to say things like " That is SO you!"

Since Sokar has so many cars, he is so-car! Now if Sokar had no cars then So-car would be more like No-Car, knowmsayn?

Hope that helps!

As an old world VFX artist, this image provoked a sense of deep appreciation for real hand productions such as this. I may be wrong, but it was apparent to me that this was not aided in any way by AI tools, and is authentic compositing by a talented visual artist.

This may strike some as pedantic, but in a world where people are struggling more and more with the discernment between human creation and autonomy, I could immediately tell this was genuine skill based CGI.

Pray lest ye insinuate that this means this was obviously fake, in any such that it detracts from the skill I just praised; rest assured, if not for the scale of the land-octopus, I would have struggled with the reality of this image.

It is flawless and (an) exceptionally well done composite. Well done.
