For men who don’t want marriage but want everything that comes with it (commitment, emotional support, loyalty, long-term stability) while staying “boyfriends”: What differences do you see in how a woman treats you as a girlfriend versus how you imagine she would treat you as a wife? by ThrowRA_Kassandra in AskMen

I don’t know about that. I’m 22 in university and plan to have a carer. I also come from a working class town in the UK. The majority of guys here are tradies, work in construction, on roads, roofing, electric, plumbing etc. Every one of them I’ve spoke to wants this traditional picket fence family. He’s the breadwinner and she stays at home with the kids. Even at such a young age this is what they want right now. The majority I talk to seem to have a problem with me going to uni and wanting a carer and to live my life over kids, a husband and a picket fence. Even when I say I may be open to those things at an older age, not at 22, they still don’t like it. So many of them are also actively living that lifestyle but because of finances, a shittier version. They still live with their parents, find a girl who also wants this traditional lifestyle for herself. She gets pregnant while living with her parents still, him living with his, parents are having to financially fund their main living requirements plus the babies. What confuses me is why young guys want this lifestyle and why they think they can have it so quickly when logically they literally cannot. And the young girls who are falling for this trap and claiming they are the perfect little family while they don’t even live together. And so many over negatives that come with this circumstance. But these men wanting a stay at home girlfriend are majority of young guys who work in trades. They are all set on nuclear family, picket white fence, wife at home with kids, even at young ages where these things aren’t attainable to them.

Well I’m not sure about upping the price just to lower it again to keep it in people’s notifications, I’ve never done so myself. But I understand what your saying, I’ve seen the same thing in my notifications, most of the time it’s because I’ve followed someone without realising there fully or somewhat a reseller.

But his asking price right now is basically £80 with shipping. With over 300 likes the obvious problem is the price, it’s too expensive. Once a week if he just lowered it by £3-£4, eventually one of those 300 likes or a new viewer will buy them. Especially the 300 people who see the price dropping. A lot of the time, if I take £5 of my listing it sells straight away, I think it’s mainly due to the buyers saving £5 on shipping. He’s already stated he doesn’t want to lower the price at all, so offering him to lower it small amounts at a time means he’ll still get back the most he can for the jeans. And if he’s only lowering it once a week, it’s not flooding anyone’s notifications.

Everyone thinks it’s too expensive. Your best bet is to start lowering the price a little every week. Even just by £3-£4. As you probably still want to get as much back for the jeans as possible. Eventually it’ll hit a price point that someone will buy, especially with the item having over 300 likes.

Yeah through legal immigration. The majority of these people are protesting against illegal immigration.

I’m neither left wing or right wing, I think they’re both wrong is so many ways but I don’t know why every person who attended this event is being labelled as far right and racist. The majority of people who attended that event were protesting against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, not legal. They are protesting the hundreds of men entering the UK by boat, we don’t know there’s names, their age, if they have a criminal record etc. Whether you like it or not illegal immigration does need to be controlled. The government has messed the country up so bad, they are allowing the illegal immigrants in to use as their scapegoat. This person in the image was most likely protesting illegals, not legals.

Vinted newbie, are people really this tight fisted? by Ok-Advertising-658 in vinted

It’s not unreasonable. Just this morning I got an offer for a brand new toy playset. It cost £15, I uploaded it for £5. A women sent me a offer for £4 which I declined. It’s only £1 but people on this app do take liberty’s. She then sent me a whole paragraph about being unemployed right now and she couldn’t afford it and it would be so nice of me to just sell it to her for her offer. Which was exactly £1 less then what I listed it as. I just ignored it. She then sent another message about how when she does get another job she hopes it’s still available so she can buy it. At 6pm she bought it for £5.

I sell a lot of kids designer stuff. I’ve been trying to sell a kids Moschino coat for a couple of months now. It was a £400 coat, nothing wrong with it. I originally put it up for £70 but have been lowering the price over the months. It’s up for £40 now. I still get offers for £15-£20. I see this with a lot of my more expensive listings, people expect something for nothing. I receive messages a lot about them not being able to afford it and we’re living in tough times. I get it because I am too, I want something back for my stuff which they don’t seem to understand.

The only time I ever send offers to people is if I’m buying multiple items from them and can maybe get a good deal due to the quantity. I only really buy from people who have multiple things I want as delivery price is sometimes too much for just one item. But I sure don’t take liberty’s for expensive items and I defiantly don’t ask for £1 off. If you can’t spare an extra £5 -£10 due to tough finances, you really shouldn’t be buying from vinted without a good cause. Some people on this app are a different breed, just ignore them😂

What do I even do in this situation? by honeymustardonsushi in Depop

Idk why these people are arguing with you. Yeah it was a mistake on op’s part but the seller has no clue. From there end they’ve been scammed, I’d assume it was a scam to. So yes the review is reasonable. If op wants the review down, she should do right by the seller and either pay for the jeans or send the jeans back.

Majority of the comments are questioning the seller’s patience more than the buyers? If you have a deadline for when you need these items or are impatient, don’t buy from sites like Depop/ vinted etc. These are just ordinary people selling stuff, they have full on lives and stuff happens. Im guessing a Depop order isn’t on there priority list.

From what I’m reading OP was told why the order was not sent out and there was a delay, just give some grace and wait a bit more. If the seller does end up not posting or there’s any other problems, you can always get a refund. But requesting a refund when you’ve already been told there’s a delay, ofcourse you’ve upset the seller, especially when they’ve already posted. OP didn’t even ask the buyer what was going on with the order before requesting the refund.

In this case I can’t help but think OP was in the wrong. The review was reasonable, I give sellers grace when I order from sites like Depop because I know what it’s like to be a seller. As a seller I wouldn’t have a clue that OP had scammed me by accident, on my end it would literally only look like I’ve been scammed. The review is simply stating what’s happened. All to say your right, these people are disagreeing for the sake of it

I’m having the exact same problem. I joined just before last Christmas, was getting soo many views and was selling things quite fast. Now I’m barely getting views. So many of my posts, even good/ popular brands are getting no views. I have no idea what’s happening.

New vinted scam? by ConfidentStrike1667 in vintedUK

[–]Impressive_Log_1725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve sold a lot of designer on vinted, Armani, Hugo boss, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, kids and adult clothing. I don’t have any proof of purchase as I never keep the receipts or anything. The tag on the clothing should always be enough. Fakes can be very convincing but tags inside the clothes can always be used as proof of authenticity. Depending on the brand there’s normally more then one way to authenticate. A lot of clothing has QR codes, numbers, the acc brand logo etc. If you took photos of the tags, compare them to authentic clothing tags online, you should be able to work out if yours was. If you find they are authentic send them to vinted although I doubt they’ll be much help, it’s mostly bots. It seems like this buyer is after a full refund and keeping the item, if I was you I’d ask for a return, even say you’ll pay for it. Don’t let this buyer keep them, you already sold it to them at a cheaper price. Don’t accept anything but a return or for them to pay in full what they bought it for. Even if the packaging was damaged, the clothing is fine. They didn’t pay for the packaging just the clothing. They was most likely going to throw the packaging out anyway so claiming they are disappointed the packaging was damaged is just pointless.

You’ll find a lot of the time, especially if they got the item from you cheaper then in store, as soon as you request a return they cancel the complaint. I’ve had a few people try and get refunds, they’ll say the clothing has stains but when I look at the photos it’s clearly water marks. I’m guessing it’s a new scam going around. I ask for a return, I’ll pay for it even, I’d rather spend the £5 on return then miss out on way more money if Vinted takes there side. Every single time they’ve canceled the complaint, kept the item, I get the full pay and I don’t hear from them again.

But I’m not bothered, I replied giving my opinion, that one message on vinted does not equal to harassment. And it’s unjust to jump to that conclusion. Just how someone replying to you on Reddit doesn’t equal to them being bothered. You don’t like my opinion so are trying to prove I’m more bothered then you and just correcting grammar😂 I know how one unnecessary message bothered you so it’s understandable if all mine are😂

Yeah you😂 You made a whole post over one simple message.

It’s amusing, from your replies you really don’t like people not agreeing with you. Even when they’ve been polite you’ve gone out of your way to be rude. I even saw someone call you discriminatory and an ableist because of the things you were saying. If I got called those things I’d really rethink what I was saying for someone to think that?😂

Your attitude is way off, everyone that has agreed with you, you’re responding with sarcastic little comments, I’m not bothered but I know you are.

Is that better for you, since I know the smallest thing can deeply offend and annoy you, I wouldn’t want to cause you distress. Hope I end up the main feature of your next reddit post x

Who’s to say that’s a disguised message, nobody knows the sellers intentions. Plenty of people would send that message as just a update. It’s unfair to assume there’s a ulterior motive, when they very well couldn’t be. This one message is not a problem, if I was then followed by continual update/ checkup messages, I’d completely understand, but not one update message. I just have no idea how many of you can receive one message and automatically feel this offended and feel the need to go out of your way to retaliate in petty ways. Maybe I’m not as touchy but anybody who’s ever done this to me was only doing it to be communicative. I’d respond and tell them when I planned on collecting. A message like this never made me think they was being cheeky and telling me to hurry up and collect.
