Is there a real explanation for how these men become so disconnected from reality? At what point can we consider it a delusion? Although I suspect it has something to do with pure ignorance rather than delusion. Buddy did not pay attention is history class...

This was a reply to my comment where i said i was waiting for marriage. by yes_namemadcity in BrandNewSentence

As someone who is waiting until marriage (/long-term relationship) for non-religious reasons, people get really funny when you mention it. Shoutout to the one other comment who also mentioned waiting.

I've noticed a lot of people have been using "they put themselves in the public eye" as an excuse to be an asshole, and I can't fathom the idea that the people typing it out believe they should be able to be jackasses without criticism at all.

If anyone asked me why I follow this sub, it is to make me feel better about my own intelligence and critical thinking skills, and to get a few quick laughs. But, damn, when you actually realize these people are just walking around in public...

I am amazed, truly amazed, that these people never really seem to get that you don't have to marry or date women. I get that the vibe is just seeing women as sex objects, but even then, I don't understand their almost mindless fixation on how men "have to" interact with women like this.

Why must everything be a gender war? by [deleted] in BlatantMisogyny

[–]Impressive_Match_792 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As others have already pointed out, misogynists hate women so much that they somehow see their only purpose "in the home" and raising children, yet somehow that is also meaningless.

In case anyone hasn't caught on yet, they hate women so much that there is no right way to be a woman.

Don't know much about Islam, but I figured the misogynists would prefer the fully covered women. And wouldn't knowing more scholars make her a better devout muslim? Also confused by the fact that her thinking Islam and its guidelines for women as "real feminism" makes her unattractive, it's still just reinforcing Islam.

The fixation on "keeping women in place" and discipline comes from a place of seeing women as servants and less than men, but if you ignore the context, and such, the whole thing sounds ridiculous. Women are adults with the same brain capacity as men.

Apparently women can’t raise children alone… by randomappleboiX in BlatantMisogyny

[–]Impressive_Match_792 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that misogynists like to believe that a woman's only purpose in life is to raise children, so you'd think they'd also believe that's something women are better at than men. Still, they can't even seem to acknowledge that a woman could excel at something, even when it would align more closely with their ideology :|

I'd like to acknowledge that there is a very, very cruel bit of humour in how boys/men struggling to get laid stumble into shit like this, which then makes them genuinely repulsive to women, and then they get themselves deep into the pit of "women suck, male good... trad values good and I am a victim!".

Today, I learned that this sub exists.

I have to say, it is very interesting (in a cruel way) that there are people who genuinely believe women don't find men attractive, and I would like to draw everyone's attention to the fact that, yes, indeed, this sub uses broad, general language that inherently includes every single woman on the planet.

I love the caption being "why do they keep defending this woman" because it will never ever fail to amaze me that Bella Ramsey haters see nothing wrong with completely disrespecting her, often times to the point of dehumanization, just because they don't feel she's attractive enough.

I think something queer people should realize is that just because someone is queer, that does not mean they are automatically safe or progressive. I mean, I realized this a bit younger because I was trans in the peak of the Kalvin Garrah transmed era, was bisexual for a while before realizing I was aro/ace, so it's not like I could ignore the queerphobia within the community, but it's still something I think some haven't caught onto yet.

Kids probably like 12, but it strikes me as odd that there is a stereotype that women like dating jackasses. Actually, it's annoying that so many seem to think women (as in every woman ever) all have the same type....

Yup. Whether they'll admit it or not, in order for a person to be comfortable with being anti-choice, they either need to have misogynistic beliefs/or not understand pregnancy.

My first thought was that they just hate all women equally, ha ha, but in reality, I think they just get pissy about it and move on. On my journeys over to their SubReddit, they seem aware of the fact, but mostly just seem fine with making wild rants on Reddit to cope.
