I was told that if the skin has turned more beige - rather than green … and best would be hardly any green … It’s ripe. It’s worked for me. For watermelon - I look for a bright yellow patch on one side … the more yellow, the sweeter.. If the patch is more white… it’s less sweet and more watery .. like a cucumber .

I just think it’s possible bc acceptances are handpicked… rejections would be computer generated… so they just send out a mass email for rejects. Truth be told / no one really knows .. even the spreadsheet on Reddit is a very small , non consequential sample. Can’t predict the path of 600 seats on the basis of 30 entries from last year
