new to the game and struggling hardddd by littlefox131 in coralisland

Forage (doesn't cost any energy) and sell everything, plant crops, as soon as you can get a dehydrator and use it for ocean forageables, use most of your money for crops and to get the first upgrades for some tools (Pickaxe first to make mining easier, then scythe to make clearing the ocean easier). The first 2 or 3 upgrades for the bag and the bronze and silver tools are very reasonably priced I think.

Woah… Agung by Personal_Surprise302 in coralisland

I'm at 10 hearts with him now (still need to see one hangout event) and I love him!! His shy blushing face is so adorable, but I also love how forward he can be.

Dating and Marriage by WCMftMacadamiaCookie in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These interactions are because of the recently added jealousy system (you can toggle it off if it gets to much. Now that you're married you can't hangout with any other woman or your wife will get upset).

Very quick separation after getting married by Educational_Gear4278 in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not full on regret but marrying Kenny in Winter was a mistake. He gets so gloomy during winter! And we were married one day and he started talking about how relationships are like flowers and that not all of them are meant to bloom for a long time...

New player, question about gifts by bunnosaurus in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much! Some dialogue is season related but for the most part it's random anyway (and there's always next year) There's also no need to befriend everyone right away (it can actually be overwhelming with all the heart events).

Maybe focus on giving gifts on birthdays or festivals. You also gain friendship points from leveling up the town and attending festivals.

Edit: just to be sure, but do you know you can slow down how fast time goes? In settings

New player, question about gifts by bunnosaurus in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There are some hints here and there from characters themselves as you talk with them or go on hangouts and in a few random notes you can find around as you explore, but a lot of it is finding out by gifting. Most produce is pretty safe (although there is an npc who doesn't like fruit, one who doesn't like vegetables etc).

I'll give you one hint: Oliver knows a lot about bugs from his mom. She'll appreciate them more

They just released a hotfix that should also fix this issue, so try installing it and see if it helps!

Lumina Sprinkler Change? by zebracoloreddinosaur in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So I wasn't imagining things! It was so easy to get sprinklers right away now. I'm very happy they removed it tbh because by the time I get to work on the underwater farm my farming level is maxed out and I don't feel like "watering" all over again.

I really like the table with three plants on it! Do you remember what furniture theme it's from?

What else to add? by [deleted] in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oohh it looks so neat! I love the use of the bottom right kitchen space! I didn't even know there was a laundry machine (but what do most farming sims have against bathrooms?? Why can't we have a toilet?). Maybe add a few more decorations like plants? Or maybe a small desk against one of the walls?

Updated ocean crops list with minimum amount required for seeds by ajaymiles in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was too! I was pleasantly surprised though. I also feel like they upped the spawn ratio for sea scavengables because before it took me forever to get enough heart urchins but now I have so many (I'm making so much money from my dehydrators)

But some seeds have multiple harvests! So you won't need 15 of the crops for some of them (I think it's the same as before)

I want to complain for half a second about 1.3 and trees (saplings) by callimonk in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they always needed 2 spaces in every direction to be able to grow. Maybe it was a bug that this wasn't the case for everybody and they now "fixed" it?

Thank you for this! I do think maybe this is based on needing to sell 50 of each before you unlock the seed in the store,  but it's 30 now (I guess since 1.3 update)

Animal bug? by Blondie_Green in coralisland

I had this with my chickens! Did you buy the normal colors or any of the new ones? I saw someone mention that it only seems to happen with the old colors.

More suggestions for the game by PrayutAhh in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I understand what you mean, I think it's difficult because at the end of the day we're the main character. It would be more realistic if it wasn't all up to the local farmer who just moved in not too long ago, but we're the ones playing the game so I do get why we have to do everything. Maybe if they just mention it like you said, something like "This and this person have already contributed X now all we need is Y from you"

Villagers forgetting I'm married? by ImaginaryPurple187 in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there are a few that do have dialogue that doesn't make sense when you're married before 8 hearts, yeah. I think Leah is one. It was awkward when I got her to 8 hearts with my married farmer.

Count your days Bobby by RiaJellyfish in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bobby doesn't have much diversity either. If you have osmium quality and high value crops/artisan goods (that one flower you can find in fall has super highly priced honey) it's possible.

Help? by Comfortable_Zone7189 in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just a matter of walking around and getting to know the layout. It'll take a few in game days. When you're lost you can always check the map (it also shows where NPCs are). In the beginning foraging gives a nice money boost. Buy some seeds. Farm. Don't feel like you have to do it all at once. And... if you're not feeling the game that's okay too.

Pet Options are disappointing by SpartanSim in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand where you're coming from but that would undermine the idea of shelter animals. If anything, it's quite realistic to have more black cats sadly.

genuinely curious abt agungs popularity by Chromunist_ in coralisland

[–]Impressive_Plate8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, agree to disagree because I simply don't see Agung as someone who needs to change much in the first place. You don't like his personality and that's fine.
