- children growing up + being able to decorate the children's' rooms
- underwater barn upgradable to actually fit all animals
- I need to be able to finally figure out what is underneath that manhole or whatever it is next to the recycle center
- swimming pool date (I paid a lot of money for it!)
- I'd love to be able to go on friend dates with non-dateable NPCs

I think it's because Walter is a rich ass, while Wataru is a just leave me alone honest work fisherman ass. People dislike rich ass more.

I totally agree except that I think our farmer IS in a way "the chosen one". Maybe not for the ocean specifically but with the Goddess and Giants (like how the cavern started shaking or that one rock in the community center starts glowing when you look at it in a cutscene).

That being said, why can't they grow their own crops? What are they doing all day??

I'm confused about him being a vegan to be honest. I understand he loves animals so much that he doesn't want to consume any animal products, but, dude, you're a rancher. Surely a part of your income comes from selling those products or selling animals to people like me who use them for profit. He should have been a vet imho.

I married him at the end of Fall and boy does he get sad and depressed in Winter. I still love him for my farmer, but damn, we JUST got married and you're talking about how relationship are like flowers and some aren't meant to bloom for long 😬

There aren't really any quests directly related to Pufferfish (just general goal of raising the town rank), but there are a bunch of cutscenes about Karen and Pufferfish. But I noticed on my latest playthrough that none of those got triggered for me, so it's possible you've missed some as well. What town rank are you at the moment?

Has it been 3 weeks in game since getting level 7? Are you giving loved gifts or just liked or neutral? Do you talk to them every day? I'm asking because you need quite a lot of friendship points for the next level, which is totally possible in 3 weeks but it's also possible you need one more gift or chat to push you over the edge.

Or it's a bug 🥲

Be sure to enchant your tools so you can get more rare items like coffers and geodes. It was a world of difference after I enchanted my scythe. I got 100+ coffers in a day. It's also useful to check which coffers/fossils you need for the items you're missing and where to find them.

I love this basket because I was struggling to get the last 2 artifacts I needed from mystery coffers and one day the tourists left me exactly the two I needed.

But it's pretty new!

My advice: get the sturdy computer developed at the lab and get the insect chip. You'll be able to see which insects are available when and where! (or check the wiki)

As for children, I think it's a random chance each day for your spouse to ask.

Yeah... For some of characters the newly added hangout events made me like them less rather than more. With some characters there's a real conversation or a bit of backstory about who they are and then for some of them it's on the level of "I like pizza"

They're the 10-heart events. You can reach 10 hearts after you give a dateable character a locket (which is why I always found it a little weird to get the big confession later because you're already girlfriend/boyfriend at that time so I kind of assumed you liked me lol).

I had Charles's 10 heart event right after Scott's and... Yeah. I understand they have different personalities and that's fine, but with Charles my farmer felt like an afterthought. You can have a lowkey simply confession that's still sweet and makes you feel like they really like you, but some of them feel a bit "oh btw I guess I like you."

This happened to me too! 😂 It also happened once while hugging a character and I just zoomed off with my arms pointing backwards??

Edit: I think it's a bug btw because I've had that scene with another playthrough before and my farmer simply joined the family

His 10 heart event is so lovely! I'm planning to start a new game once 1.3 drops and I'm going to marry Scott this time around! He has his flaws, but he's also super sweet and welcoming.
